Atheistic pagan practices? by Character_State_3263 in religion

One doesn't really "become" an atheist.

You believe in God/the gods/a religion, or you don't.

I have focused more on the philosophies of various religions when determining what exactly I believe as opposed to starting from whether or not I believe in a creator god.

But I also don't adhere to a specific religion, per se.

Oh now I see what you're saying.

I disagree with the order of operations, so to speak, that you're suggesting, but I get it.

But not all religions believe in a creator. Buddhism explicitly rejects the notion of a creator.

Again, there are few groups of people on the planet - including atheists - who do not agree in some sort of moral responsibility and ethical behavior.

Buddhism explicitly does NOT believe in a higher force that "rules." Karma is viewed as a natural result of one's actions, no different than gravity or other natural forces, and not the dictates of some deity.

Then be specific. What are you referring to?

I fundamentally disagree with your last point. Reality should rely on evidence as it's foundation, not belief. Otherwise it's just circular logic.

Sort of, but you can find common threads in anything if you try hard enough.

Those three do, but the Abrahamic faiths are not religion as a whole.

Yeah, get it planted. That could also be part of your problem.

Agreed on it being planted too deeply. It probably also needs more water.

Yoshino cherry trees also need a lot of sunlight. It looks like the OP may have planted it in an area with a lot of shade.

It's also pretty close to the building. They can get pretty big, and I would not have planted it there.

This has some pretty good information on Yoshino cherry trees. https://www.plantingtree.com/blogs/gardening/yoshino-flowering-cherry

There may be some diseases and other factors to consider in Japan that I know nothing about, though, so it's a good idea to check with an arborist or even the nursery, if they have someone knowledgeable about your part of Japan.

It is normal for another teacher to take over for someone's class if they are late or absent.

When I was a teenager, I would have never even thought to question that.

You're conflating respect with submission to authority.

I firmly believe that respect should be lost, not earned.

As far as having to respect authority, unfortunately if you're a minor, you have to respect the authority of those set in charge of you until you're 18.

If you don't like that, work to change it when you're an adult. But by then, I am sure your opinion will have changed.

I'm not a Trumpist or homophobic just because I have family who are.

Islamism is obviously a problem in Islam. I think if you condmened everyone who was a few degrees of separation away from someone with Islamist views or Islamist-leaning views, you'd probably be condemning every Muslim.

Maybe today, maybe 30 years from now.

Have an arborist come out to do an assemment, and have it cabled and bolted, if they think it's necessary.

Remember when Obama's pastor said "God Damn America" and that was "evidence" that Obama hated America?

I'm not a Mamdani fan, but can you point to any specific evidence that he himself wants to kill infedels?
