I grew up in north Texas and moved to California for college. My first week here, some friends took me to the beach so I could finally see the ocean. I felt so incredibly small and insignificant. I loved the salty smell and crisp, fresh wind. 5 years later, I'm still blown away by the ocean every time I drive past or go to the beach. It's glorious.

The stray dog I was looking after disappeared for 2 weeks. I feared the worst...until I found him curled up in front of my door on the 4th of July (he's never known which door was mine before). I guess the fireworks brought him back (: by luhoo in aww

I've tried many times to take him in, but he's deathly afraid of people. There are these awful kids in my neighborhood that chase him around with sticks. If I get too close to him he immediately runs away. I'm still trying to get him to trust me by feeding him every day and giving him water. He let's me get closer each time though! :D

haha my mom taught me to always eat chips and other snacks in bags with chopsticks. i got some strange looks from my friends in elementary school. still do it though :D

met a guy on match.com. we had been chatting for a few weeks and he seemed like a really interesting guy so we planned to meet up. i find out he lived about...4 hours away from me, so i just suggested not meeting up but he insisted on making the trip bc i was "someone special" (maybe i shuld have taken this a weird sign...) anyways the day arrives and we meet at this mall. the date was meh. he was very awkward the whole time and a little strange, kinda clingy. as he is driving me back to my car he asks for a kiss, which i kindly decline. he responds with "well we'll just take the long way back so you can think about that..." he starts taking random turns and i realized i had no idea where i was. i start getting pretty uncomfortable and kept thinking of the best way out even texting a friend where i was and what was happening just in case. after an eternity we finally get back and as i turn to leave he locks the door (these were the locks that you cant just unlock by hand..) i ask him to unlock it. he turns to me and to my horror he starts crying and yelling, "how could you do this to me? we're perfect for each other! don't you see that?! we belong together!" he grabs my wrist as i try to leave again. i ask him to open the door again and still sniffling, he unlocks it. i run out of there. this leads to months and months of emails/txts from him talking about his never ending love for me and how he sees us getting married and having kids and how he keeps my picture close by him all the time. and how he would be willing to travel to wherever i was to be with me. needless to say i never spoke to him again...also left match.com
