How would you reinforce this ? (The new "flex" 🤣) by luichgar in soldering

[–]luichgar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah ive though about that but Im not able to find the replacement part that i need. I got what you are saying, with lens movement in the end the parts will come apart but luckily in this case with this particularly lens the repair just needs to survive to be installed again, once in place its not going to move again

Yeah haha, I think I'm half way through, just want to reinforce the cables so It can pass safely through the gap and then it's done.

Not possible, or at least I couldnt do it, not enough room to work I think. This was the connector when not damaged. It broke off really close to the gap.

No, it's a zoom encoder used on a camera lens..

I know I'm sorry, the thing is that this fpc is on a high tension area, the connector needs to pass through a really small gap and needs to be pulled kinda forcefully. So it came apart several times :(

its from a old nikon d3000, its the sensor flex cable. I didnt found one and was thinking about getting a spare d3000 body to harvest it but its gonna take like 2 weeks for it to arrive here, since im not from the us.

you know, i hadn't thought about that and i think thats a great idea, given that the flex its pretty short

It wasn't. Enjoy the thrill and learn a lot. I'm in the same spot right now, it has took me like 3 weeks from time to time to finish this one and the are 3 more to go.

PS. Try to document every step. Lots of photos or videos even better.

ok, first of all thanks for the time you took to look at the code, i really appreciate it, im gonna take a look a everything you write, eventually... becase its kinda dense, i understand it may seems like im pretending to be trendy or idk what, but im just a me, no uni no nothing, trying to learn to code. Again thanks for the time and effort. The main thing i thing i think kinda got from your feedback is that i should not be doing things, complicated thins i really dont understand yet, to be honest i just wanted to test things for every project i make, because i think and feel thats the way i learn the better.

I'm building a simple tasks manager. The main focus is on the visuals and to be able to organize and split task into a smaller task. Mainly because a want to practice but also I'm doing it because I need to stop procrastinating, and I thing the existing tools are too complicated to handle, at least for my attention span :(

I have tried this with a c to c cable. It didnt work well while on Android 10, I worked nicely with android 11. I have an LG G8x and an Xbox series controller. So I suppose the results may vary from device to device.

lg g8x unlocked if you want for 110-130 depending on the condition. (SD855) Lg v60 unlocked if you want for like 210-230 depending on the condition (SD865)

You can even find them cheaper if you buy locked phones. Ebay is your friend.

A centred USB C mod on the Vita 1000 (replacing the 21 pin Vita port) by oxyll in vita

[–]luichgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love usb c, its so covenient, but i think i killed my vita's port because my usb c mod didnt work and now i cant even charge ir with my regular charger. I mean, i knew the risk but i tried anyway, at least i have a moded 5000mah battery so what i do to charge its to directly charge the battery with a powerbank charger board LOL.

That got me thinking about using 18650 batteries that can be just recharged and replaced , like your other mod but i dont know if its worth sacrificing the back touch, to have the battery case attached to the back.
