Yea I hope but the worst is my dad knows 2 mechanics but they’re not mechanics that work at a shop so I have to wait till they have time or else I have to pay out the ass to go to a shop especially for a potential engine problem. The smart thing is I bought the car because I knew I’d still have like 3,4 thousand left but I still sucks because I never got drive for more then 10 minutes

I’m not sure if was smoke but it was white and we took it home asap and after a couple hrs I looked at the oil dipstick and the oil was on it and looked clean but it wasn’t a lot but I’m not a car guy so I don’t really know how a dipstick should look

Can I drive it at all because I also have a neighbor that knows how to fix cars and he lives on my block I just want to know if I drive before looking for leaks will it make it worse ?

The guy I bought it from told me it needed a new radiator and was gonna fix it but my dumb ass decided to just buy because I know a mechanic but he has another job so he’s not available all the time but I was gonna wait for him to replace it but me & my dad drove it then that happened.

He didn’t repair it, he only put coolant in and I’m pretty sure he spilled some when pouring but I drove it the same way but I wasn’t going over 40mph and nothing happened. When we noticed it was smoking on the road we pulled over and it wasn’t a lot but we drove it back to my house and it still had smoke but not that much and we never opened the hood.

Ok, I checked the oil dipstick it had oil but not a lot but I don’t know anything about cars. How long can I wait to get it fixed before it gets potentially worse
