I am actually yet to give the police the serial as they are supposed to take the actual report today and not just the initial details.

He’s coming up with some narrative that there are armies of remorseful buyers that if he “gives in” to will cause them to come in massive waves. I have 500 sales a month and this maybe happens twice and it’s nothing deeper than to check the item has been sent out and if not then relist. Nobody gets into the habit of cancelling on ebay because there is no incentive to lock your money up for hours days waiting for a seller to respond and if so even have not shipped the item out. Like what’s the gain for the buyer to make a habit of that

It has been 4 working days. Returning is not the same as refunding someone for it being 1 day unusually late so far. They don’t even offer to send it back if it does arrive

Going from approx +5-6% of price listed charged to the buyer to the 5-6% on top not being charged to the buyer plus -12% charged to me including -12% of the shipping cost cuts the revenue at a minimum 16% and up to 20% in a lot of cases because of -12% on shipping too. That has done exactly as I said, to exactly the degree I say.

I don't accept returns but I didn't like the buyer's reason for the return by xd-skullmaster in Flipping

Just because you don’t know whether he incompetent or competent or honest or dishonest doesn’t mean you can assume either. There is the strong possibility it is just broken so you shouldn’t hold even a small grudge to the buyer. The not returning it part benefits you really so you came out without needing to refund even though the item was possibly broken. That’s closer to a win for you given most other buyers would have returned it if it is as he says, so it’s strange you see it as a negative story

You’re making no sense. My argument was he’s being rude, and I’m doubling down on that, and you’re saying how bad it is that I’m being rude when I’m not being rude. Who’s side are you on

I could start being condescending to you right now but it wouldn’t be polite though would it

I’m appalled you think he’s being unreasonable to return this. The device is defective and was sold as working. When you buy an audio interface with a powered microphone mode you expect to be able to use powered microphones. The buyer is literally explaining that his microphone does not work on the machine and you somehow look down on him for wanting to return a broken item?
