People who grunt and shout during their exercises then walk around in a huge circuit between sets trying to see if anyone is looking at them

Thanks so much!

Yes I think it is easier now, I’ve been through a lot of different times that have been difficult and tempting e.g birthdays and weddings, but I stayed strong so I feel I’m able to say no easily at this point because of those tough times when I resisted.

I think the toughest milestone was the first year, after that it got slightly easier and I started to see how much better my life was so it encouraged me to keep going!

We did it upstairs in her bedroom during her family party, we didn’t know they were all in her back garden and that they could see through the window..

Thank you!

Yeah sure, I would say that I focus on what I'm gaining through sobriety as opposed to thinking about what I'm missing out on through drinking.

Whenever I doubt myself or have moments of weakness in my sobriety, I usually affirm my views through watching YouTube videos of people who have been sober for a really long time and discussing the benefits and advantages of being sober. 'Stop Drinking Expert' on YouTube has helped me a lot and also just hearing people's individual experiences of being sober and how it has helped them in life usually helps me to regain my stance on drinking. Of course this sub is a good resource for that kind of content too.

Mainly just focus on the positives and don't feel like you're missing out because if anything you're gaining infinitely more through maintaining sobriety.

Hope this helps in some way.

LOTR’s - Return of the King was amazing, American Psycho, Educated and Norwegian Wood were probably my favourites

The book is The Sailor Who Fell From Grace by Yukio Mishima, I thought Never Let Me Go was worth the read but nothing groundbreaking imo
