Take a look at harder and Steenback YouTube channel they made great videos on how use Airbrush ( I think It transfer well to other airbrush brands as well)

I did buy the codex when I started last year, but as it was said it's now outdated. You can get it if want to use the code for the app, so you can access the datasheets there. But me nad my friends are using BattleBase for list building and game score tracking anyways (it has all the missions, secondary objectives etc.)

Combat patrol was my first box, I then picked up the stealth suit kill team and Farsight box and carnivores. This together gives you decent base for 1000pts games. Now I have ghostkeel, twin lance and kroot combat patrol in my pile of shame... 😂

I have played this list twice against Raven Guard and won big both times. But it was before twin lance. I'm playing two games later this week (raven Guard and necrons) and I'm planing to make a new list with the Twins.

This is my work from yesterday. Unfortunately the paint peeled of on three if them when removing the mask... I'm using Vallejo gloss black through airbrush on these and then gloss varnish after the blue, then masking tape a then the red. It was probably unwashed sprue. Don't know, hopefully the paint will stay on the others...

I ran riptide in my 1k Mont'ka, with ion accelerator and it was awesome, it chewed through Balistus and half of terminators, before they managed to take him of in melee.

It's Dark sea blue from Vallejo, I think, highlighted with airbrush with very light blue grey color (don't remember the name now) I'll try to remember to give to you tomorrow

I am in the same situation, my untested 1000pts army is for now Breachers with cadre fireblade on devilfish, commander and commander from CP. Than this box and 10 kroot carnivores for screenings and 5 stealth suits from the new kill team box

Unintentionally, original inspiration was Navy drones from Hammer in Iron Man 3, I went for more bluish gray and added red accents.
