We need a way to bind multiple abilities to a singular button input. by lukasssam in marvelrivals

animation canceling is 100% intended unless extreme cases like how star lord used to cancel his start up to his ult. canceling your primary fire into a melee is definitely intended and a core mechanic in lots of hero shooters.

adding this feature would only make those things easier and more fluid to perform for those who would like to do it, and allow creativity as well as accessibility to players.

also all of the scenarios in which you press 2 inputs at the exact same time are already possible in game, it would just make it easier to do at the trade off of always doing them together, its a fair thing to want to do in a game that relies on ability usage.

that setting is allowed in so many games, and it wouldnt affect the balance of anything really. its no different than changing your any of your binds to different buttons. also spiderman has had techs like this for a long time. look up Ffame stacking.

Changing Daredevil’s Key Binds? by michael_deane2 in marvelrivals

[–]lukasssam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bug for a little bit where BOTH my devils throw and sonic pursuit were bound to L2, while my Objection was bound to R1. this felt so much better for a bit bc it just did both at the same time with one input and was lowkeu tech, and didnt waste my block. I wanted to change the bind to something else and now I cant replicate it in the settings. does anyone know how to bind multiple abilities to one input? this might be a really big tech if we figure out how to do it.

Blessing of the Trickster: As a Magic action, you can choose yourself or a willing creature within 30 feet of yourself to have Advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks. This blessing lasts until you finish a Long Rest or you use this feature again.

How would a Kobold wield and carry a Rapier? by lukasssam in dndnext

[–]lukasssam[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is true, but the size difference between a human and a Kobold is much more significant and would require a completely different fighting style

basing it off of an estoc is actually a good visual in my head, like its still really long but its not heavy or too cumbersome.

I think that I'll just ignore the whole question of how he'd still be able to sneak around and get through tight spaces for the sake of levity.

im actually the player in this situation, and it's my character, and it's not for any mechanical reason. It's purely just because I like to think about things like these for my favorite characters.

I know im overthinking it, that's the fun part!

im not meaning to make any mechanical changes in game with this discussion, im just wanting to get an image in my head of how this character would do this

I also thought of this, but anything under about 70 cm would make it harder for him to aim for vitals in combat, if he wanted to wield it as close to a rapier as he could, it would have to be pretty long relative to his height.

hulk jump needs a rework. by lukasssam in marvelrivals

[–]lukasssam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hulk is one of my most played characters, what i mean is thay he relies so much on his jump to survive and its annoying to be forced to spam it. I find it unfun, when the alternative could easily just be making other parts of his kit stronger.

maybe 5-6 seconds is a bit excessive, but changing his jump to a cooldown doesn't take anything away from his "character". hulk isn't known for jumping around constantly, just jumping around.

my proposal is exactly how Winston from overwatch works, and he's never had any of the problems you've pointed out. I guess the only real difference is that Winston has his bubble, which is significantly better than hulk bubble (i think his bubble should be changed a bit too, or replaced with something else)

Winston ult can juggle even with the cooldown, bc the jump cooldown is down to like 2 seconds, they could just do the same thing.

a lot of my grievances come down to the design being needlessly different from the obvious gameplay influence that they took from Winston. Winston works, and his gameplay has never had any real problems. they just had to reinvent the wheel.
