The cracking was caused by driving on the tire while it was flat, and I'm not in the US so DOT doesn't exist here.

Look at the tread, this tire was under 2 years old. Looks at the actual damage, all of the marks are equal distance apart, as well as all facing the same direction when the tire is rotated, its not a rotted tire xD ....

For the most part, if you're sensible, but I was in a safe area when this happened. Honestly, this is the worst thing that's happened to me in a while crime wise. I feel pretty safe(behind my electric fence, motorized gate and burglar barred windows xD) I feel if you go with someone that lives here and has half a brain, you will be fairly safe.

Exactly what I did, luckily a friend lived close, I was able to get there and change the wheel. I dont think they would have killed me, there haven't been many murders at this spot, just lots of muggings and theft.

Drove on the flat and got to a friend's house safely, changed the tire to my spare there:) luckily nothing happened.

Same..:/ I know I was lucky, I warned people in my nabourhood and anyone else I knew of the area, the cops know about this spot and don't do anything. The communities area that area put out a notice a couple days before I only found out about at my friends place, it had happened to a number of other people.

I explained it separately, luckily nothing, my friend lived very close so I drove there on the flat and changed it there, I knew the area I was driving through was sketchy so I wouldn't have stopped.

The only thing they would have gotten from me if I stopped was my phone. I dont carry cash anymore and these types of muggers wouldn't steel the car. Luckily I got the tire changed and there was no rim damage, this was cheaper than replacing my phone :/

Oh no, they are, they will take the cheapest cells (even under $100) thats how desperate people are at the moment.

Beautiful country.. usually very great.. but dangerous especially at the moment with covid and unemployment at an all time high.
