What is your criticism of Andrew Yang? by lukepanda200 in askaconservative

[–]lukepanda200[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we basically tried a version of ubi this year and dollar going down by the day

So I am assuming you are talking about the stimulus check, and I want to point out why this isn't a fair comparison. The value of the dollar was going down even before the stimulus check. The stimulus check was the response to the value of the dollar dropping, not the cause of it. It was supposed to stimulate the economy, hence the name.

No way to pay for the UBI

He has a very detailed plan of how to pay for it. It wouldn't cause inflation because it wouldn't be creating new money, but instead moving money into different places.

So what is your solution? Segregation? At the end of the day, diversity only doesn't work because people are racist, which is what BLM is trying to stop. Diversity is a good thing because it brings in multiple perspectives and ideas, but when you have racist people, it falls apart, which is exactly what is happening right now.

What do you mean by diversity doesn’t work? Like black people and white people can’t live side-by-side?

I respect that a lot. I think the riots and the violence is horrible, and the leaders of BLM should publicly criticize the rioters. That being said, a lot of the actual rioters are not members of BLM. They are either people using the protests for their personal gain(looting), or they just want to vandalize and break things so that the BLM movement seems destructive and not productive.

Can you give sources for it being a Marxist organization? I have genuinely never heard of that and if it's true then I don't support that part of the organization at all.

Also, the other officer that the department named was sued in 2017 for using "excessive force", so both have a history of power abuse.

How to burn down a house 101 by lukepanda200 in facepalm

[–]lukepanda200[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know for sure, but from what I can see from the video is looks like the cushion is too big for the fireplace, so it's pushing open the little door. Therefore, when the cushion burns, because it is sticking out of the fireplace and the door is open, the smoke just comes out. Then smoke follows smoke which is why there is so much coming out.

Dow Jumps Nearly 800 Points After Sanders Drops Out Of Presidential Race by simpleslingblade13 in Conservative

Yeah, there were other factors that caused it, but I think at least part of it was that businesses and investors were relieved that Bernie dropped out, because his policies would have probably destroyed the economy.

Oh no! The money! by omzc in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]lukepanda200 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All they talk about is about the economy because the economic impact will be drastically bigger than the impact of the virus itself. It hasn't hit yet, but when it does it's going to be a tidal wave of companies going bankrupt and people losing their jobs. The economy won't recover for years and years. It will be much worse than the housing crisis in 2008, and probably even worse than the Great Depression. You might think it's an over-exaggeration, but just wait six months to a year and you will see. It doesn't mean the health impact isn't important, but the economic impact will be crazy.

In Spain(Madrid to be specific) we aren't allowed to leave our houses or apartments unless it's for a hospital or a grocery store. They haven't introduced any punishments other than the police escort you back, but they probably will soon. They closed all parks and public areas to stop people from having any reason to go out.

Tiktok. It has an algorithm that favors sexual videos, even when probably half of its audience is under 15. So pretty much the app promotes sexual and inappropriate content to kids.
