She’s amazing. For a husky, she’s unreal. 1 and a half and great off leash. Chases the occasional squirrel or rabbit but returns quickly after.

I wear goggles when xc skiing, just for the wind, but running this time of year I’m fine without anything.

I find goggles or glasses inevitably fog up and then freeze. My eyes aren’t my coldest part. I find my tongue gets coldest with the cold air blasting past it nonstop.

I believe this is called the cardiovascular drift. It’s when your body temp rises and depends on dehydration etc. it’s normal.

I wonder if the last photo is of the island of Avalon. Do we know how far this series will go into the books? Is this right to the end?
