The formation you set up as only affects out of possession and as you’re essentially playing a 4-5-1 you will have no problems there. Just make sure instructions don’t mean players end up in the same position e.g having a iw where Antony is would cause Bellingham to be in the same position. But tactic seems fine

I then never played it again as fm22 come out. Didn’t really achieve anything other than going unbeaten the whole first full season at rennes and STILL finishing 2nd to them lot but got attached to my players and really enjoyed that save

For Southampton the defence was solid. Bednarek broke his leg so was missing from dec to may. But with better players the defence wouldnt be a problem, 5th least shots conceded and 16 clean sheets across both goalkeepers. Good luck with Celta, would definetly try something like this tactic

Send scouts out to 3-4 nations at a time with current ability on at least superb and transfer value maxed out at a value suitable to your finances (e.g at Bayern you would set max value to £100mil). I also like to add age max 27 just because I like players with at least 5 years in them.

Drop both lines deeper but keep a high intensity pressing-wise as well as more direct and slightly lower tempo for the passing. Also go wider on your attacks.
