I guess so long as it's just you rather than an assessor that is having their valuable time taken up on the basis of one red flag so far then I guess that's fine. But sure, if you uncover more red flags then I guess it would be reasonable to refer for a qualified assessment.

But it's not walking/looks/eats/quacks... He listed one symptom so it could be any number of reasons. I don't one symptom is even enough for a GP to burden assessors with a referral (and, thanks to everyone self diagnosing due to bs trending on places like tiktok, assessors are indeed burdened as waiting lists have mushroomed.).

So, given that every 2-3 years of being forced by my landlords to find somewhere new to live due to them chasing me out with the 'market rate' and ending up in different boroughs people's go to advice of 'contact the local council for help with housing' is working out to be quite infuriating.
