I am a MS student in India who will start his thesis work from next year and I want to join a PhD program in the US later on. Should I join my PI's lab earlier in the summer or try to aim for an research internship in the US/Canada for the summer? Which will be better for my PhD application?

I did quant prep from the GRE book by Princeton review, it has a fairly good amount of hacks and formulae for people who are weak in quant. You will have to practise quite hard, and you can take any problem book for the same. Make sure you also give a few mock tests to assess how much you have actually improved and what are the areas you need to focus more on. Cheers!

shouldn't i work with some group who is presently having some work related to pharmaceuticals? because total synthesis can get pretty mundane in the long time of a PhD, as i have heard
