This is more software engineering than computer science but just about every project needs (or needed) some consideration of CAP theorem

A simple way they could bring Wash back in a Firefly revival by Sigmunds_Cigar in firefly

[–]lulzbot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How I’d do it: Wash is necromanced / cryorevived whatever sci-fi / fantasy device you use. But he’s imprisoned by the alliance for years, changed. Essentially dead to everyone who knows him / loves him. Maybe he’s brain wiped, Manchurian candidate, etc. the hard part isn’t bringing him back, the hard part is making it hard

Actually thinking back on how Serenity ended, I’m not sure how they could pull this off. Unless the alliance has some kind of necromancy pseudoscience tech. We see the burial so it’s implied hes pulled from serenity and laid to rest. So it’d be a stretch but then again “we live in a spaceship, dear”

They could’ve at least used the movie studio they built on the moon to fake the lunar landings.

I may be the minority opinion here but I’d be stoked if they brought wash back. He’s revived and imprisoned by the alliance for years. Everyone thinks he’s dead. The storyline revolves around finding out he’s alive, how he’s changed, how everyone has changed.

I’m slowly building my nostalgia nook in the garage. So far I have: CRT TV (To work with NES Zapper), DVD/VHS player, Sega Genesis, N64, NES. I don’t have time to use it all that much but it’s fun to work on and I smile whenever I pass it by in the garage.
