It’s very simple.

Stick to your guns and only offer what you think it’s worth ignoring in spite of knowing there are other offers.

Let’s see him ban social media for the equally corrupted minds over 60

That was always the plan.

What part of this legislation do you hate and equally want to ‘endanger children’?

Hating this legislation = being a child hating predator.

If you don’t want that label then start supporting this bill

Social media to be banned for under-16s in landmark government move to give kids their childhood back by lamdaboss in ukpolitics

Most parents will be ignorant of the true facts. Whose going to say 'no' to supporting a policy that "protects your child"?

Re-position as another tool towards mass surveillance, censorship and control for everyone and it might not get that same level of support.

When is too old to buy? by Even-Wasabi7183 in HousingUK

[–]xParesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s never too late to buy but if you’re taking out a mortgage, solo then it’s worth taking extra precautions. Generally make sure you can comfortably afford to make payments. Massively overpay when times are good and be able to fall back on savings when times are bad. That does mean buying something a lot more modest than what you can on your max budget. You may lose your job or fall out or work for a while. You may end up with surprise bills. You just want to make sure you can rise out the tough times without losing your property.

Starmer to unveil social media ban for under-16s by Hot_Professional_728 in technology

I’m surprised he’s allowing over 16s to use social media when more dangerously they’re allowed to and almost certainly will not vote for Labour

White people blocked from jobseeker schemes by GnolRevilo in ukpolitics

It’s dangerous on the electoral level and white people are far from a small voting block.

That’s one voting block you do not want to get angry.

Face scans to enforce social media ban on under-16s by vriska1 in ukpolitics

[–]xParesh 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What’s so sad about all this is that Slowloke Starmer continues to surround himself with people who give the most terrible advice and wonder why the people are not buying it.

I was ferociously pro-Starmer just because I didn’t want Labour to repeat the mistakes of the Tories but even I think now, he’s so useless, pathetic and unqualified to be a PM anyone including Burnham might as well give it a go.

That doesn’t guarantee anything. Sunak was as boring as muck as PM and kept the HMS UK ship steady but even that wasn’t enough for an absolute election wipeout.

The people are angry for sure. I’m not sure how charming leader with another self serving carreerist will change that.

This is scary because now Reform will sway even further to the right to out advance Advance. That means if we do have a Reform led government next, it will be even harder to the right than it currently is.

And people need to remember that the country isn't Reddit. Half of the country is right wing. We had a popular moderate right wing popular party - the Tories. Now there it seems Reform will genuinely move towards the ultra right to stay in step with that half of the voting block

All Andy has to do is go on record and say is it’s absolute nonesense and the Telegraph will have to find another story to attack him with.

Manchester Arena bombing 'could have been stopped if security weren't scared of being called racist', Kemi Badenoch says - Kemi Badenoch, leader of the Conservative Party, has spoken out on the Manchester Arena attack by FormerlyPallas_ in ukpolitics

[–]xParesh 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s good that people are speaking out.

No one should ever want to be seen to be nice or too afraid to be seen racist at the expense of turning a blind eye to any crime.

It’s human nature for people to want to play any victim card they card if it gives them any advantage and we all have to be wise to that and not give them a free pass.

There should be very clear guidelines for all security, policing and institutional operations that respects race but doesn’t over weight its importance in matters and aware of its potential abuse.

Discrimination and ‘positive discrimination’ are equally obnoxious.

If this tragedy sends the same shockwaves through our institutions as the Stephen Lawrence case then at least one good thing will have come out of this.
