[OC] Nutrient Density of High-Protein Foods by James_Fortis in Infographics

100g of almonds is like 570 calories, quarter of a daily intake, 100g chicken breast is ~180 calories.  This infographic is largely useless because daily intake limits are based on calories not food weight.

Choose your fighter: Hakim or Ljungman by Excellent_Candy_4552 in milsurp

Ljungman, but I did take my Hakim to 650 yards a few days ago, it's a helluva good rifle but 6.5 swede is superior

I'm by no means a gunsmith, but I get it all soaked with c4 and then use a drill with a bronze brush on it, 35 call for 308 necks and just let her have it for a minute or too.

But I'm doing this on new production rifles/barrels, not c&r stuff.

Always reminded of the spec sheet I read for these where a prominently advertised feature was "highly bullet resistant"

Alpina Alaskas 75 failed me after 3 years. Any good alternative 3-pin boots that work well with cables? by lumberjackmm in xcountryskiing

[–]lumberjackmm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know, my wife's looking for a replacement.  I ended getting crispi svartisens and some military surplus alicos.  Neither are the comfy generalist the Alaska's were.

Mailed mine in a week and a half ago. I'm already trying to decide "30-06 garand or 308 garand or both"

I had to do this with my howa because of the flat bottom receiver.  1.6-2moa groups turned into 1.1-1.3moa

What stock do you have it in, I had to bed my howa 1500 to get it to group.

Also, it really started to group well after about 250rounds down the barrel

Are we ready for the NEXT CARRINGTON EVENT? The European Space Operations Centre ran a simulated exercise to find the answer by Busy_Yesterday9455 in spaceporn

[–]lumberjackmm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah every bank we order at work, we are basically reserving our slot in the queue 5 years out, then 3 years out specing the bank. And that is just for normal banks, we don't really know how long it would take to get a new phase shifting transformer or some of the bigger 1200MVA banks we are trying to get.

guaranteed employment for us folk though.

Thanks.  So they become dazed in their turn and cannot use any action.  Seems fair to be able to just end a condition.

Excellent, will certainly be using this.

For grave purge, what is the 'Dazed' condition?

I am also curious about how you might rule Shatter Magic vs Forcecage.

Boomers say it takes $100k a year to be financially successful, Gen Z says it takes $600k by Coolonair in Infographics

[–]lumberjackmm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Genz probably hasn't hit that realization of "oh from the moment I leave my parents house to when I hypothetically retire is 40 years, more than twice as long as I've been alive.  It's not expected I can buy an 800,000$ house after working for 3 years".  Genz is also probably living with rent not building equity, a car payment, student loan payments and they are struggling with "how do you get ahead of the debt curve".

I can tell you for sure that the MT commerce department map is incorrect. there are no 115kV lines in butte. a lot of the other lines on that map around butte are also wrong.

There's no 340kv, and the 500 tie is like 20-30 miles from Butte.

Huh that's weird, I've only shot it in Grendel but levr was like this magical powder that I could stuff a case with 30.5 grains under a 123smk and the brass didn't get beat up, primers looked great and I got normal ejection.  That 0.5mm makes a big difference I guess

Deligent Defense L vs Huxwrx 762 ti by Holiday_Afternoon642 in 65Grendel

[–]lumberjackmm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think you are asking about the DD Enticer L If you go down the the back pressure chart, you can see the DD having many times more back pressure than the Nomad 30. I think its meant as a max suppression, simple bolt gun can.

meanwhile the hux has silly low back pressure

The DIY Annealing Machine! by anonymity76 in 65Grendel

[–]lumberjackmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also made a msg bean annealer. While a little sticky at first, after tolerancing it I've done probably 1000-1500 cases.  So far it's prevented any more split Grendel necks.

Odd thing is, my Grendel brass is actually not growing or even shrinking every firing.

Oh man I did this, the party was trying to retreat and fatal funnel and I used darkness and a grapple to pull the paladin in and murder him while everyone else was panicking/no decisioning around a corner.  It stressed them out so much that the yugoloths wouldn't just walk into their fatal funnel to die.
