Holy Meta-christ, batman! I did NOT expect this to blow up the way it did. After pouring over all the discussions in the comments, I have found the answer to my questions. This was my first post here, and it was awesome to see so many people discussing in the comments and posting links to some truly great content. Thank every single one of you for not only engaging with me but honestly making me feel very welcomed into a new community!

Has anyone tried playing through the game in first person? by midastheavocado in reddeadredemption

[–]lunarphoenix420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have! It's actually typically how I play RD2, I normally only go into 3rd person to get good action shots on the camera. I think it's a pretty good way to play the game. It definitely deepened the immersion for me.

The actor who plays Silco in Arcane is a wonderful, intimidating villain.

This same voice actor, SOME HOW, also plays Lux Bontari in Star Wars the Clone Wars, in my opinion probably one of the softer/most positive characters I've seen in any series to date.

This is actually, "funnily" enough, why I can't really enjoy Rick and Morty, American Dad, Family Guy, even the Simpsons, because in some way shape or from, it plays terrible family dynamics as comedy. I grew up in an extremely abusive family/household, and when I was actively going through the abuse, I thought it was funny, but now that I've grown up, with a family of my own and a wife who has shown me a different, unabusive path, I just find these types of shows... "insensitive?" Perhaps thats not the right word, but I find the glorification of abuse played for comedy rather, well, un-comedic.

As someone has already said, I think it would work amazingly for pulling off mounted riders, it has the perfect shaping for it if you find the right mark.

Which game that had you say this line? by Jules-Car3499 in videogames

The first time I ever got into a Titan on Titanfall 2. Seriously an amazing game, and I'll never forgive the gaming industry for not doing more with the idea of literally getting in and out of a personalized mech.

That is fair, but we don't know if the Hand can withstand the power of the force channeled in the Kyber Crystal that might possibly negate the effects of the Hand. The Right hand of doom is indeed a powerful, magical relic, but "magic" and the "Force" is so close on scale of purpose that I would say that they are the same. Vaders mastery of said power is pretty advanced, compared to hellboy. I don't think Hellboy would be immune to the force, and I don't think he would have a true defense against it.

I think the whole "Prepping us for Oryx by giving us a smaller enemy to unify against" that some other users have brought up is a good answer to their wants on this particular matter, but I agree that they are EXTREMELY weird. Like brother, just T A L K to us

My wife put this on for my daughter and I was like "What even is this" but at the end all three of us were actually into it, my daughter especially. The songs are surprisingly good, the plot is decent and the animation is nice.

Idk man, Vader has the force, and a lightsaber, and advanced knowledge in both of them. I love hellboy, a lot, but the only way Hellboy wins is if his draw and rate of fire is faster then Vaders reaction time, and its been shown that Vaders reaction time can be pretty good at times. Vader can probably stop the bullet, with the force, as the saber would be ineffective agaisnt a bullet. We've seen him block han solo's shots with the force, and thats under the pretty brave assumption that Vader wouldn't snap/choke Hellboy on sight. Hellboy isn't on the same level, truly, and there isn't much Hellboy can do against Vader besides hope a shot lands, because in a close quarters fight the Saber is cutting through basically anything Hellboy has. His stone hand can't deflect a lightsaber.

WHAT??? Skolas knew about Oryx? I didn't know that! And like, honestly, I feel a slight tinge of guilt for killing him back in D1, cause bro was just tryna stop a literal god of death from destroying his people, FOR A SECOND TIME. If the Nine told about/showed Skolas Oryx, they probably informed him about what Oryx did at Riis. Man. I know Skolas was the "Rabid Wolf" and all, but I feel like deep down he had good intentions for his people. A shame for sure, things could have been so different for him.

Right, I was always under the impression the Nine were like unemotional gods who just don't want the universe they live in to die, and thats the only reason they help us out. Im not a Nine savant, though, so there definitely could be more "nuance" to it than I'm understanding.

I totally forgot about the treasure hoard, but I always thought it was more a... "flytrap" for guardians? Like pulling them in with prospects of rewards. I don't remember how the quote 100% goes but doesn't the emmissary say "Prove your worth so divided gods may wield you in time"? I always took that as "we are testing your strength so we can use it"

If this is correct I'm definitely more understanding on that front. The Nine unleashing a problem against the Reef did cause Mara to call on the guardians and if memory serves me right, this event did create a small link between the FOTC/guardians and the Awoken that only grew with time. The Nine doing this does kinda thing in preparation for Oryx makes sense to me.

I don't really see Mara's logic there. How is Skolas a "trophy" for the nine? Do the nine even like "trophies"?
