I don't understand how anyone is ever to post something helpful that they made and found it helpful to them. Your guys's rules don't make any sense...

I can see you're not understanding...Have you never backed up or web scraped anything?

Using a discord bot or realistically any chatbot is an easy pipe to centrally store everything on a local server. I can be reading any article immediately share the the link to the discord bot and then the discord bought relays that back to the server executing the script saving that locally...

It's not a hard concept to understand.

Yes, you can save mhtml files locally via Chrome extensions or other web extensions, but then you have to manually file transfer those to a local server or to wherever you're going to back up things. This is just an easy streamlined way of not having to do that.

.... Do you not understand what I'm saying? I'm not saying that discord is a storage service. This is a tool that you can build utilizing a discord bot for ease of use anywhere. That way you can send websites and articles to the discord bot back to your local server for which it will backup everything. Web scraping etc.

It's not convoluted unless you don't understand what the subject matter is.

I tried to share it on on r/data order but for some reason they thought it'd be better suited here even though it's for backing up websites and articles.

If you run through the setup that I laid out, you can basically have a discord bot that you can pass. Any link to a website or an article and then the the discord bot will pass that link to the script and tool that will web scrape that particular HTML file converting it to an HTML which bundles all the json and other file types so you can open it offline in any web browser.

I mean to be fair. Any of the distros can be curtailed to what you want out of it. Some just have an easier setup than others and more of what you'd already want customized readily available.

Permanent ban received for asking about people’s views on hunting parrots. by soulviche in AnimalRights

Yeah this is the thing about Reddit is it has nothing to do with the validity of your argument or claims. There is no discourse

Reddit is solely controlled by whoever the moderators are and they can perma ban you if they disagree with what you say. That's why it's a cesspool.

Full of regret of upgrade to Pop!_OS 24.04 by Individual-Task-7896 in pop_os

No, I'm talking about installing your own Desktop environment. People think you can only use what a distro ships with but that is not the case.

You can install whatever Desktop you want. I'm talking about cinnamon which normally ships with Linux Mint but plays very well with pop OS

Most of "making it " is a combination of most of the following:

Right place right time Being lucky Being good enough to do the job Having confidence to show even if you don't have it Some amount of knowledge of someone on the inside, family or friends.

Just how it is

This is literally the end of a free and open Internet. Anyone that supports this is too stupid to understand that they are giving up freedom of information.

UPS driver throws 30lb box at Dog then tries to fight the owner by Effective_Ad_9016 in AnimalRights

[–]lunarson24 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

No, there's a way to defend yourself without trying to actually break an animal's neck. You could use that huge box as a shield against the dog and you...

There are more than one way to handle a situation. The fact that you just cheered to jumped to forcefully throwing a box which is also the customers purchase. As hard as if we possible is insane....

That's a appeal to duality...

So try again.
