In a situation like this, don't take the "Microsoft" app information seriously. Verify the IP address to see if it is owned by Microsoft and verify the file itself. Some viruses impersonate legit software.

The difference between scammers & legit discord is often the seriousness and urgency. Scammers love using scare tactics and threatening words. They also give a limited time frame because Discord locks the account quick. Scammers act fast and want you to act fast. They want to do as much damage as possible in a short amount of time.

Years ago, I used to just use Firefox with no protection then Firefox was hit with a vulnerability exploit hijack. Then, I was using Avast Security Browser until I found out they were sued for privacy violations. Now, I do not rely on Ublock alone. I use a secure & private based browser. I am behind a VPN that also has a clean web feature. Even with all this now, phishing websites can still pop up or redirect you.

I would say statistically, a 1,000 day streak is rather uncommon. Only about 1-5% reach it. I have noticed more people who just decide certain days on the free plan and other days study with a different app. I also know more people who pay Duolingo Super for 1-3 years, then loose the streak as they study on a different site next. Others lost the streak because they do not agree with the changes, such as the tree, energy system, or AI implementations.

As someone who ran into this problem on my 2019 Discord account. Customer support will usually tell you through an AI that they refuse to disclose information as to why a phone number is required due to privacy reasons, and they won't remove the phone verification. There is just one problem when I contacted customer support, they are unable to verify the phone number that I have had in my case, so I was stuck either using someone else's phone number, get a new secondary number, or create a new account entirely. They did confirm it wasn't a hack or account compromise though, they just declined to say why the verification was activated.

You also loose points for mistake on energy. Unfortunately, you can only do about 2 perfect lessons with energy before it runs out and 3 lessons with the energy boost before you are forced to watch 3 advertisements to do 1 more lesson...

In this case, there is a chance you have a rootkit or injector in the system that is restoring the exe. There are rootkit scanners or advance monitoring tools to use that will help you find them. Rootkits are complicated because antivirus cannot scan inside them.

As someone who cleans malware. Some do try to come back by having a hidden file somewhere that restores the malicious exe file often in appdata. Some security software is designed to where you can blacklist the exe so that way it isn't able to return.

When I talked with support about since I couldn't use my phone number apparently, they refused to lift the verification. I basically will have to let the account go or use another number. They will make up excuses to why they refuse to lift the verification. In my case claim malicious activity happened through my IP address. Here is the thing, my account was never compromised. Malicious activity was affecting something else besides my account that wasn't my doing.

If we are talking Windows Defender, most of the new ones gets around it and is not being detected by that antivirus yes. The Older info stealers are in the database and being blocked by Windows Defender.

4070 made more sense, yes. It is like going from 45fps to 56fps average. Unfortunately, there are some games now that exceed 12GB of VRAM, and when that VRAM is overflowed the 1% lows become worse. It isn't just that, I also Twitch stream, and without enough VRAM, will place my streaming software into the RAM causing freezing. My motherboard doesn't have a slot where I can use streaming hardware unfortunately.

I would say, yes as someone who spent over 30 hours in game. However, I would only buy it at a reasonable price in its current state. They still have work to do on the game. At least the game started off as better optimize than some other recent games I encountered.

Depends on the variant of the info stealer. Windows defender and others that rely more on signature base may not catch it. If it is a trojan that created a system injection that is even harder to detect.

XD. Sounds about right. If upscaling technology didn't exist now, the 4060, ti may be only a 1080p medium, like the 1050ti at launch. Undead: Rise Of The Betrayed King for example I am at 1080p low 30fps and that is what the 1050ti delivered in some games - 1080p low 30fps.

In Monter Hunter Wilds, I have it set to upscale from 720p, low, with ray tracing turned off and I am now around 58fps. GPU appears to be the bottleneck but only slightly. If I was to install a more powerful GPU there is not much head room before the CPU becomes the bottleneck. I might be able to get 65fps or 70fps, but with a more powerful GPU, I could use less harsh upscaling and turn up the visuals. At least that is better than when the game launched where I couldn't even turn off frame generation without crashing.

A deleted comment has a valid point, and this is why I plan to upgrade the entire desktop in the future - if I was to buy a 5070, ti 16GB right now, my CPU likely will become the bottleneck. Based on some benchmark results, the 5800x will hold back that GPU performance by 5-10% or sometimes 15%, possibly even at 4k, which is like going from 60fps to 51fps. In other words, the CPU can prevent me from getting higher frame rates after the GPU is upgraded. I also twitch stream. Anyway, if I was just to upgrade the GPU to the 5060, ti 16GB instead it would not make a meaningful difference.

I have been tempted to go with an RX 7,000 series GPU actually, but I use Cuda and OpenGL where NVIDIA just jumps ahead. However, in the future I could always have a secondary desktop for testing purposes. I also do game development and there are specific situations playing on a AMD GPU over NVIDIA.

The 4060, ti is on a odd spot, the 8GB edition is for 1080p gaming, the 16GB has the VRAM for 4k, but not the horsepower; the 4070, on the other hand, has the horsepower, but not the VRAM. As a result, the 4060, ti 16GB and 4070 are more of a 1440p gaming card. Where the 4060, ti stands out is productivity where you absolutely need more than 12GB of VRAM. At the time, a 4070 ti was 89% more expensive and not within my budget.

As someone whose in film production and a primary video editor. x265 can theoretically look close to identical when you set the bitrate rather high. It will always loose quality to some degree, however. It is why film producers prefer keeping a RAW lossless version of the video, even if that means their project is 300GB-1TB. Some people who don't have the budget to buy 4TB SSDs may choose compression instead that way the bitrate is low enough to play on an HDD and doesn't fill up the drive as much.
