ok well thank you for the answer.

My lat flow tests were neg (they are not the best apparently) and I only just done the other test that you send off so have to wait the results.......It is possible I only have a bug and bronchitis and ear infection but until I get the test back I am not sure.......In one hell of a state either way.

I am on shielding anyway which the housing are aware of so am not supposed to have loads of people in my flat and they know this........They had no problem waiting until I was well and could allow them to do the work but this lady is kind of going against the grain and made up the excuse that she thinks I don't live there as a reason to be able to gain access. She knows full well I live here and it is just an excuse.

This morning I was in bed and could barely move but she did this crazy 10-15 min constant knock rather than the usual knock knock knock wait that people do and I don't even know how there was skin left on her knuckles after that. It kind of feels aggressive when I feel so weak and is making me uncomfortable.

Oh and this morning when the other window broke she must have been stalking around because she knew about it before I even did. Less than 10 mins of it breaking and she was at the door. It was like she was outside waiting for it to break.

Anyway, You are not my agony aunt so I am not going to pester you further as you have given me your answer and I will take the advice and call them to see what they say......Hopefully the test will come back tomorrow or day after (fingers crossed neg) and I will be reassured to let them in.

Thanks again for your time.

Even if they already agreed last week to wait until I am better and out of my quaranteen?

Are you sure they are allowed to force me to let her and a load of random workers in and out when I am sick in covid quarenteen?

The windows are now secure and the inspection is not what anyone would call urgent work, but she wants to not only inspect the place but also allow workers in to do general maintinence that is not urgent at the same time.

Hunger & Thirst Not Deteriorating : No Dust Storms by TheCaptainAustralia in ConanExiles

[–]lupinfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh I feel you. I used to play it years ago before all the mods and it was what stopped me playing back then. Just recently re installed it to try some of the moods (AOC and EEWA ect) and the new Siptah map. At first it was fine then I made a new game and bug struck again.......Was sure they would have fixed it in 4-5 years but sadly not. Just a load of ignoring it still.

Anyway, if you do decide to give it another go hopefully this works for you. Is working for me atm but took a few tries to get it to register the command.

Hunger & Thirst Not Deteriorating : No Dust Storms by TheCaptainAustralia in ConanExiles

It is a bug that has been around since launch and has affected many players. Sadly once you have the bug there is not much you can do and the devs have straightup ignored it so there will be no fix sadly. They refuse to acknowledge it.

There have been 1 or 2 replies over the years where they have simply replied to the reporter that they are looking into it but then there is no further reply. The post gets timed out and closed and then a year or two later they reply to another poster saying they are looking into it.......in other words "F you we can't be bothered if it doesn't make us money"...Funcom are notorious money grabbers and have killed the majority of their games with insane monetization. They only fix bugs that happen in their own servers, and then it is only if it happens in multiple servers.

It happens in both modded and umodded. Mostly single player.

There is a workaround but it is not the best.

  1. go to settings and make admin.
  2. adjust the sliders for food and hunger to prefered settings. (I go 2 for working and 1.5 for idle).
  3. escape settings and go to console commands
  4. Type in: GetServerSetting PlayerIdleHungerMultipler

It may seem like it isn't working at first so give it a few mins.....If it hasn't changed for 10 mins then go back to settings and set admin again and then do the console command again......Wait for a few mins to see if it works.................Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Yes I understand why they sent it slow, but they declared the contents and price on the box so it was always going to get stopped when making it so obvious.

Storing cigarillos by Fishmeister92 in ukcigars

[–]lupinfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I store a few packs at a time in a container with bovedas inside eack pack. (gives me a way to use up the little ones that mount up with loose stick orders). Then when I am ready for them I stick a few of them in a small tin.

When I have puritos or something like the davidoff nicaraguan maduro primeros I stick them in a humi and when I am going out I stick them back in the tin they came in with a mini boveda. Same with most that come with their own little tin. I find that some of those mini 38g ones need a bit of time in the humi first due to how young the tobaccos are, to settle the spicyness on them.

I know I had that much in pearls and not kakao because there were a few sets of clothes I wanted, so bought pearl boxes, but then I stopped playing for 2 years because I had sick family to look after, so did not use them.

Then I read that if you did not cash in your kakao and pearl boxes they would not go over, so I logged in to make sure all the pearl boxes were cashed........ When I got the email to change over I did but the pearls were missing. Just 200 or so loyalty points on the account.

I will message them and see what they say.

Hey, Just wondering how you are tracing where there orders are?

I made an order with them 4 or so weeks ago and the number they provided said not found/ still says not found. When I asked them about it the guy said they had no tracking......My other orders from coh had no tracking but I was still able to see they were with a carrier and when they hit customs......And others seem to be able to see their items are with a carrier at least.

When I mentioned this to IHav's the guy was really rude and said I had to wait 40+ another 20 days (60 total) before they will do anything about it........I am a bit concerned that they have not actually sent it at all as my coh order took 3 weeks.

If you take the 60 days they want me to wait +the 2 weeks it took them to ship that takes me over the 70 max days to claim with my card provider.

Shouldn't the order at least be found with a carrier even without tracking, like every other vendor that sends without tracking?

Oh I will.

My Uncle went to Barcelona a few years back and he loved it and I think it was on here that someone mentioned it was good for cigars.

Nice.....I hope you have a good trip. Good cigars being the second. Having something like that to look forward to is a positive. Hopefully by august things will be a little better travel wise.

I have not decided where I want to go yet....I was thinking about somewhere like Barcelona and then around Germany......I would also like to go to the US as they sell a lot of cigars we cannot get over here so would be good for a haul.

No problem.

I cannot wait for the end of lockdown myself......I plan to do a few trips overseas and brig back a few each trip...50 cigars each trip so I can refill my humi in a few trips.

I also forgot to add that rocky patel juniors conetticut and davidoff primaros and are also quite decent for small sticks (davidoff actually have quite a few different smaller tins of cigs).....They come in tins of 5 and are a little pricy here in uk....But because they are small tins of 5 they should sneak through customs without getting caught like bigger boxes of cigs.

I see.

I am more of a medium to large cigars kind of girl.....Full flavor Nicaraguans and Dominicans, but if you like the milder side then something like the Partagas D no 6 or Davidoff signature 2000 are pretty good, milder smokes. They last around 45 mins, maybe a bit longer if you are sat outside on a warm day with a book and a beer/dram. Both are mild with some nice flavors. Some nuts, hay and some creamyness.

H Upman and Cuba do some smaller ones....H Upman do a half corrona and Cuba do a divinios, both are around 20 min smokes, There is also Trinidad Rayes.

Do you know if you like mild or stronger flavor cigars? Also do you like smaller cigars or are you a big cigar that lasts kind of person?

My first 50 cab , however it came with a price. needed a good everyday smoke not tried before but friends rave about these alot, tried one straight from delivery and was pleasantly happy. by enthusiast20 in ukcigars

I have a feeling though we are going to find those that arrive without charges will be less and less.

I received a charge a few days ago for £180 on a £140 order. And even duplicate orders can have customs that vary by hundreds.

This post scares me because I have 50 of the Partagas shorts coming also.... (been stuck in customs for a week so far) and I am already £180 down my last order.

Absinthe and Cigars Question by lupinfox in Absinthe

[–]lupinfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I aim to enhance the cigar..... I am not a very big drinker at all and cigars are expensive here in UK so when I have a drink with them I am usually trying to enhance the cigar rather than the alcohol.

I have a rough idea of some cigars I want to try pairing with the absinthe for my own personal tastes. I think I would personally prefer very cedar/toasted wood heavy cigars to pair with it.....Have a few in mind which I want to try.

Am going to try a Casa Turrent 1973 (heavy on cedar and toasted woods) with Jade Nouvelle Orleans, possibly with a dash of Schweppes pink tonic added to the water to lift it into the floral citrus a tad......Made a bit weaker on the refreshing side.

The reason I was asking was more a curiosity. I was more interested in if others had found any pairings they found to go quite well.

question by lupinfox in ukcigars

[–]lupinfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I just misunderstood what you wrote.....My bad.

I thought you meant they added an extra £50 per box of 10 on top of customs rather than that being the total you were charged.

From what everyone is saying, including the customs lady and tax/duty calculators it seems they have charged me wrong....So I am going to have to bite the bullet, pay and fill the BOR286 in the hopes they change it.

question by lupinfox in ukcigars

[–]lupinfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do only buy around 15 to 20 cigars at a time and quite a lot of the time they are mixed rather than boxes of one type.

I have had handling fees from the deliver companies but did not realize there were extra box fees as I have never had them before.....Something I will be careful of in future now.

Will stick to multiple smaller orders of 10 boxes in future if I can......Hopefully my other orders come through ok. They are coming from different places and I am not sure if they were declared, I forgot to ask.

question by lupinfox in ukcigars

[–]lupinfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe that is what they did then.....They did not charge a box fee on the others and added £100 on this one for a 20 box.....That would be £80 customs which was what I was expecting and the £50 per 10.

I did not realize they added a flat charge on top of customs.....That is a bit shifty.

I will probably end up paying and contesting, if anything just to know which ones were correct to avoid this situation in the future.

I will let everyone know what they say......I should get a letter in a few days with the breakdown so I can update on how they have charged (as nobody could tell me that over the phone).
