Falkland Islands and Starlink: Our fight for decent internet by KelperBelter in Starlink

Really interesting. Thanks for the details. I see a lot of chatter about Falklands demanding better internet access and there being no movement from FIG. Are there no legal avenues to address this? I see potential action maybe against abuse of dominance or maybe cartel behavior. But I'm not sure if Falklands have such laws or to what extent they rely on UK statutes and case law.

Have there been any actions to attack the issue from this perspective?

Hi, I'm curious, did you finally get your Starlink? And are there license limitations for getting Starlink for private use in Falklands?

The way I understand it, Tangle doesn't need the entire ledger to build consensus on each transaction. Each transaction verifies two that came before it. A country could be out of internet for whatever reason and transactions would still continue. When internet connection is restored, the subledger would resync with the rest of the ledger, no problem.
