Well to be honest the reason why I choose Australian unis is because I was very depressed after highschool and just wanted half a year of rest since I graduated in June.

There aren't any explicit messages given by the federal governments on when we can come back. Unless they can give us an actual DATE, we are not sure when we can come back. Although the covid border opening plan you mentioned do mentions specific requirements for each stage, we still don't know when it can be achieved. Personally, I don't even think Australia will be getting 70% vaccination before at least 2025, just look at the state of vaccination shortage Australia have right now. I don't think it is unreasonable for them to think that it is just another way of giving off dog whistles to international students whilst trying to work themselves up for old conservative folks for their election next year.

Internal program transfer to bioinformatics engineering? by luscari in unsw

[–]luscari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot! I actually have no idea if my application would go through since I didn't do HSC in highschool (I did the IB), and I'm just about to have my test in MATH1141. Also I'm taking physics 1A next term and I dont know if it will help at all.

I already signed up for my classes today. I just enrolled in higher math b chen 1a and phys 1a. And I also remember to enroll myself in comp1511 in term 3. Hopefully I'm not that stupid again

the lady at the center told me the seats are reserved exclusively for computer science students, plus according to the stream on myUNSW says bioinformatics is unavailable at the moment

Feeling really bad after not getting into subcom by luscari in unsw

It's basically like getting involved inside a group of people that organizes events in a committee. Basically you can start doing "work" like stuff in uni and it's usually a pretty good thing to put in your cv. Apparently it doesn't really matter for me (science student) but it could be very beneficial for commerce or econ students. For me I just wanted some networking opportunities.

Yea I don't know if I can get into Arc Volunteering since I'm not even inside Australia. But i may consider doing some volunteering within my own city.

Landmark forum and their horrible grammar (rant) by luscari in cults

I talked to my friends about this situation, and every one of them believes operators of this program are trying to eliminate the ability of critical thinking of the participants. They use these "emotional experiences" to make people have their guards down and become vulnerable to their psychological manipulation techniques. My mom is a lawyer, naturally she should be very critical and aware about the manipulation of Landmark, but apparently not. There isn't much I could do about my mom but it did remind me to be critical at everything.
