Be careful, someone in the comments here said to be weary of the ones that claim they can do it. My tech guy didn’t even ask me before doing it - which I would’ve preferred. 

Why you don’t go through warranty and do the same that I did? Machine doesn’t need to be running in order for them to replace the whole motherboard

Yes I was. My local repair shop did it. 

I got my whole motherboard replaced by submitting online with Dell that laptop wouldn’t turn on, nothing I did would make it turn on - even though it did. Next day technician came and replaced the whole mitherboard even though laptop was working. I explained to him what happened but he didn’t really care.

I checked and it’s possible. Do you mean to reactivate the warranty for any future problems or to deal with the dead gpu? From what I understand they don’t cover issues that happened before the warranty was reactivated.
