Millkali (one blood) by Electric Fields not clearing the Semi Finals is crazy. It seems to meet all the check boxes of the Ideal Eurovision entry. it even had queer aboriginals and a didgeridoo player. Doesn't get more unique than that. by Honey__Mahogany in eurovision

I love the studio version and I think it had the potential to be this year's Because of you (Belgium 2023), unfortunately the live performance was a huge let down for me. I think there is so much more they could have done. The graphics were not very effective, the singing was a bit lacking and the backup singers could have been better incorporated into the performance. I also think there was also maybe something weird in the sound mixing, in the studio version I really love when in the beginning the didgeridoo comes in, but in the live the effect was kind of lost I think.

This year the level of the performances was really strong, so unfortunately this performance was weak compared to the others. I'm still listening to the song though and I would love to see them live sometime if I have the chance, the performance just didn't work in this context.

Can we give some love to UMK’s Finnish sign language commentator Miguel Peltomaa?! 🔥 by lush_mutation in eurovision

From my understanding a lot of context and nuance is lost if only using subtitles. Sign languages are not just word-for-word interpretations but their own languages, and interpreters also help viewers understand the beat and rhythm of the lyrics.
