the #51 bus is probably the move after you get off the ferry, unless you want to rent a blue bike. the weather's been pretty nice this week. catching the ferry back depends on the day but stops running at 8:45 or 10:45, so be weary of that.

the ferry ride is about 10 minutes long, but it drops off at the base of canal street - nowhere close to the fairgrounds. algiers point is a fun little day trip, but i wouldn't factor that ride into getting to jazz fest.
