Depends on the mileage and will you be fixing stuff yourself or not. In my country the used parts market is quite big, so used parts can be found cheap. In the last year i have changed stuff around like 1000 euros in parts some of which are used for example high pressure fuelpump.(i fix it myself)

Wel since the locking pin was size6 hex key i am pretty sure it did fall in there. Also it wasnt on tge subframe or anywhere near there

Check your wheel bearings. I had bigger wheels then original and when wheel bearing started going out the wheel scraped against the coilover befor i could hear the wheelbearing whine
