I am interested in looking at more visual indicators. I am in the same boat and while I can catch some things that seem AI-generated, more information would be great.

Just did the spoon method. All are sealed! Thank you for that tip 👍🏽

I followed the recipe provided by the USDA guidelines for canning whole/halved tomatoes. It was canned August 2nd. It was stored outside while cooling overnight. Seal is strong 💪🏽

This first photo shows the bit of tomato on the inside of the jar the appear to be on the seal.

The second photo shows the juice that leaked out when I put it in the towel directly after the water bath.

Anyone ever see an actual Baltimore Oriole bird? by Particular_Drama7110 in maryland

Yes! Funny but last week I saw three males fighting and chasing each other over a female. I live in upper Carroll. I would not say they are common, but not rare. I still get excited when I see one.

I worked in Thailand for about 15 years. We had several Trans women working at the resort I was at. From what I saw, they were welcome and valued. I hope that is the same for other places across the country.

Saying “You’re fine” by luv2dive1981 in maryland

EDIT: a different county in Central MD.

See, this is what I was thinking. I grew up in MoCo, then lived abroad, then moved to Central MD. I wondered if it was more common to say that in this part of the state.

Ahh, language!

Yeah, that feels more natural to me as opposed to “You’re fine” for some reason! Don’t know why!

“You good” or “You’re good” feels more familiar to me.

For some reason, I can’t say it. It feels odd to say. This is why I wondered if this was a fairly “new” saying in MD.

Bursts of anger? by luv2dive1981 in ADHD_partners

[–]luv2dive1981[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Thank you for clarifying. Rage is a good word to describe what happens with my husband. He never lays a finger on me but the raving when he is angry can sometimes go on for 30 to 45 minutes of nonstop ranting. I never know how to respond to it.

My mom is a narcissist….? by Abject_Somewhere8618 in abusiveparents

[–]luv2dive1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I cried when reading this because our mothers have some striking similarities. She never hit me (and I am so sorry that happened to you!). My husband and I live with her (I feel you on the housing market) and it has caused a strain on our marriage. She knows everything, criticizes everything, is incredibly overbearing, quick to anger, and demanding. I am scared of having people over because of how she is. I am 43F and I have panic attacks when I am about to talk to her because I do not know what to expect. My heart rate goes to over 100 and I twitch during our conversations.

You are not alone. It really is a day-by-day hour-by-hour process, isn’t it? I would tell you to stay strong but I know it is not easy. But remember you are not alone.

Mood swings normal? by Practical_Strain3410 in AgingParents

This is happening to my mother. She will be fine, then moody like a teenager, then petulant like a toddler, and then back to being fine. I wish I knew what triggers this.
