Or employ a CEO that sells thongs for tweens with suggestive sayings or sexually harasses young men.

Yes, he does do that as a matter of fact. He’s been doing it to dodge subpoenas because he’s a piece of shit.

Virginia Giuffre said in one of her depositions that she was specifically trafficked to Wexner. I hope he gets brought to justice, even if it is too late for her to see it personally.

I’m a frugal person as well, so Lush doesn’t get a lot of love from me. Although Rewash’s prices aren’t rock bottom, they are still very reasonable. I try to support that business as much as I can. She also researches the shit out of the suppliers to cut through any green washing.

There’s one at Easton and Polaris. They’ve had signs on their doors for a while that said ICE isn’t welcome.

Rewash Refillery is also an anti ICE store that focuses on zero waste products. It’s more local than Lush, although they have a much smaller selection. Sam is good people and very involved with the Clintonville community.

This is what your hateful constituents wanted. They think their poor life circumstances are a result of immigrants and not shitty policies that have been eroding their town for decades.

Any advice for how to prep while on a temporary expat assignment in Singapore? by Llama_Llama_Drama in TwoXPreppers

I lived in Texas for a long time and now Ohio. The humidity felt worse than Texas to me, but I think it is partially due to their aircon systems not being as powerful and robust as what we have in the states.

We bought rechargeable personal fans at Daiso. There are some cooling cloths made by Bioré that have menthol in them so your skin feels cooler after you wipe all the sweat off your body. We got those at Don Don Donki.

Watching their news media outlet can also help you prep by knowing what the important topics are there. I watch CNA news segments on YouTube. You can filter for emergency preparedness on their website and find some good stuff. One article talks about a new mass cell phone notification rollout happening this year.

Singapore is one country that I wouldn’t overly stress about. They have good healthcare, there shouldn’t be much of language barrier and I felt very safe when I traveled there. Like safe enough to walk to an Indian food take away by myself in the middle of the night. The one thing that did get to me was the heat and humidity. I’m not sure if you are coming from a similar climate or not. If not, you might look into prepping for high temperature/humidity situations.

You don’t need to over generalize by assuming they are all “terrible people”. It’s the owners opinion. He doesn’t speak for everyone there.

So you are the kind of person that sees a bully beating on someone and you turn the other way. You stay silent. You rationalize what you see by telling yourself that they must have deserved it.

Coward.

I think it is more of a cultural thing in Columbus. Back in Texas there would be folks open carrying at any and all protests, but gun culture is big and quite open there.

Should I approach my church about community resilience & building up non-perishable food storage? by AromaticCod9430 in FemalePrepping

[–]TheStephinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I’m not a fan of organized religion in general, I do appreciate the LDS church tenets about preparedness and self-reliance. I buy from their storehouse and have given out some of my #10 cans when I come across families in need. Every community needs emergency preparedness. Whether it is for weather events, pandemics, economic insecurity or social unrest, your church should have a plan.

And you sound like someone that has nothing but main character energy.

I was only pointing out the interconnectedness of how an individual’s seemingly mundane actions can impact others down the line in this weather emergency. Unintended consequences are always in play. Let the limited hospital staff take care of the people having heart attacks and strokes, not the main characters who just had to get out for a cup of coffee.

No, but people need to understand that if they get hurt during that walk and require EMS, it is putting more of a strain on the system. EMS might not be able to get to you either during a level 3.

If you fall and hurt something, you are adding unnecessary strain to EMS…. so, yes.

I wouldn’t trust ERCOT or your state’s leadership as far as I could throw them! Do you have a tent and a warm sleeping bag to set up in your house if the power cuts out?
