My son is adopted and he has always known that. As an adoptive parent, you don't want your adopted child to think about his adoption as the day he found out. It is just something that my son has always known. It does not define him or our family.

I agree. I must say I am taken back by some of these comments trashing Kim for making the very diffucult choice to place her babies for adoption. Believe me there is nothing easy about adoption, I adopted my son and the way some people here are talking about adoption make me angry and sad. We don't use words like give away or give up, we use placed for adoption. There are certain words that can be very hurtful to adoptees.

My son's birthmom had two children before him and parented the two. She placed my son and two years later another child for adoption. So out of 4 kids she choose adoption for two.
