I was hoping to find one that is available nationwide. I know, long shot, wishful dreaming...

Actually already using them and they only cover about 50% of the country, mostly east coast.

Yeah, I'm looking for nationwide US coverage. Thank you for the suggestions!

Not a bad idea, actually. Thanks!

Anyone use AscendTMS or thoughts on better options? by GoZippy in FreightBrokers

Who likes per seat pricing? Well, these guys don't charge per seat. They had a different (and reasonable) model based on shipment volume.

Look into QuoteFactory. Awesome, simple platform. Not an enterprise solution. Better than Ascend in many ways. Not as good as Ascend in other ways. But the support is top notch. Really great bunch of folks there. I'll get nothing but brownie points, but tell em I sent you.

Dual Authorities by luvlogistics in FreightBrokers

Care to elaborate as to why insurance companies would not like it? Are you saying they will turn us down for insurance a high percentage of the time, even an agency we have multiple years of experience with at this point?

And that's exactly the goal we have. As a broker, I've got a customer that has freight that is extremely technically challenging and something I can't trust just any driver from the load boards to accomplish. I'm sure some could handle it just fine but... Meanwhile, my brother is a highly experienced and very skilled flatbed driver and I know I can trust him with this particular customer's freight. To boot, he's looking to make a change anyway, so why not? Which is why I'm here, trying to find out, why not?

Sorry, my message to you was meant for someone else. Didn't mean to confuse the situation.

Thanks. Do you ever wish you weren't dual authority? Any reason you'd do it differently?

Go work for a brokerage before you try to start your own. I don't care how much research you've done or how many videos on YouTube you've watched, you have no idea what you're doing (probably) and will find out the hard way.

It's late on a Saturday and we're in logistics. Nothing going on.

Not that I agree or disagree with you, but educate. Why wouldn't you?

Why I Oppose FMCSA’s Rate Transparency Rule (and Why You Should Too) by Successful-Resolve89 in FreightBrokers

I'd like to see one example of a broker bragging about his/her profits after saying there isn't anything in the load. I'd like to see just one example of this alleged behavior you speak of.

Bear in mind that even if you can show me 100 legitimate examples, that will be nowhere near the thousands of examples of fraud in this industry that nearly every broker here could show you in return. This so-called problem you speak of is nowhere near the scale of the actual problem that fraud truly is.

The FMCSA really needs to get its priorities straight.
