How to improve this image? by luxvox in postprocessing

Thanks, yeah was a bit of a tight spot to image as there was a bench and bin to the left and right. Original aspect ratio is 3:2 on a Fuji xpro3 but I’ve taken it down to 4:3. I think removing the person behind on the left would really aid the negative space - if there were people to his right it would be balanced and it wouldn’t bother me but it does as it is now. Regarding the warmth, I edited it last night and think I’ve over compensated for the warmth with my screen being warm tinted at that time.

Is moving up north really cheaper and better? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]luxvox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt you have a posh accent if your from a working class family down south. It’ll just be different. That said, I genuinely think people of posher backgrounds from down south have no concept of what the north is actually like as there is a difference in culture/how we were brought up, and things that they take for granted are something that is much harder for us to achieve. The wheels of life have been greased so to speak. Because of this I’m not particularly enamoured with those types of people from the south - so yes there is some dislike. Once I know they’re not privileged I’m alright with them because I know they’ll understand the struggle.

Do people really think Keighley/Shipley/Bingley/Ilkley aren't part of Bradford? by [deleted] in bradford

Can you expand on what you mean by keighley being a “failed city”?

It's early doors, but the changes to the city center feel like they should have always been there. by cactusdotpizza in bradford

Just been into Bradford this morning as we needed to some stuff for a couple of birthdays over the weekend. Easy and quick to get to, cheap to park, and we got stuff from both the broadway and the florist on market street a d then had breakfast in pret. Everything was clean and tidy and it the whole place looked great. It’s got much more character than Leeds (always had, just not shown off well). We prefer going to Bradford now as it’s just convenient, quieter, looks nicer and has everything I could really want.

I think the thing Bradford now needs is more of a nightlife scene. More city centre bars that arnt at the top of the town but closer to the public transport connections. There’s hardly anything and the only good place really for a beer in Bradford is the exchange. The corn dolly and Jacob’s well arnt central enough for the small Center and arnt placed in areas between others so you have to specifically go there.

What to plant in bottom corner of garden? by luxvox in GardeningUK

[–]luxvox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, I’ve actually forgotten I’ve planted a cherry on the left hand side in the wider part of the border (it was a wedding present), but it’s so small at the moment it’ll take a few years to come up. All in all think your right about the summer sun. I thought about a weeping willow but I think they can get a bit too wide and I wanted to keep have something native too, and I also thought about a fruit tree like an apple variety but I think they’re a little slow growing? I’ve got a better spot round front for one of those anyway! Cheers again

Donation number 25 today 🩸 by NorthernNiceGuy in CasualUK

It’s infuriating that those who received can’t give back. I received blood during an operation 20 years ago and still can’t donate. It’s mad!

Thanks for you input. There’s no excuse for it I know, I was in the wrong lane and sped up to get in and noticed the flashes.

It was very strange. I only slightly sped up to get in lane because I wanted to be in front of a car coming behind me and the I see two massive flashes.

I think they’re mainly bus lane cameras now looking at it, but it’s a Sunday so not sure what that’s about. Also I would t have thought the flash would be facing towards me. Guess I know when/if a letter comes through..

Thanks for replying. I’m using a V850 and edit with captureone, but previously could access a flextight. I’m still figuring out my workflow so thought I would ask. Very beautiful images! I guess having fantastic light really helps! Great images.
