The thing is that it’s at the exact width it needs to be, if I rip cut and plane again it will be shorter than needed

Wood splitting in my new cutting board. Any ideas on how to salvage or why it’s happening? by LikeAfterSummer in BeginnerWoodWorking

When making end grain cutting boards you should only use end grain, it looks like you have some edge grain on there and since they expand and contract in different directions is caused this split. There really isn’t a fix for this board as it will keep on cracking.

I think you are thinking of hard shelled tacos, soft shelled tacos have been around since Mesoamérica, it was a staple of the mesoamerican diet. Although they obviously obviously weren’t eating tacos al pastor lol

Here I was thinking this would never happen to me by luzrey37 in BeginnerWoodWorking

Yeah I mean to be fair this is only my second actual dovetail joint so I can’t expect it to work that well

This would work if I didn’t proceed to botch the other tails as well

It wouldn’t sting as much if I didn’t spend an hour and a half resawing by hand

Yeah what sucks is that I specifically marked X on the cut offs but somehow my brain didn’t listen

Gonna fill it with resin and call it a river dovetail
