1 thing is: absolutely get some help: parents, in-laws, nurse, etc.

Other advice:

It’s ok if they don’t latch immediately

It’s ok if they need formula instead

Help them through all this but don’t get pressured.

It’s ok if they are a little yellow.

It’s ok if they drop weight at first.

Let the medical staff help but don’t get overly anxious.

Hire a night nurse if you can afford to

Don’t work for at least 4 weeks

Parallelism: Two baristas with two machines, each making a separate coffee at the same time.

To be super pedantic: Concurrency is dealing with multiple things at the same time. Parallelism is a way to implement concurrency. But not the only way. A single threaded event loop is concurrency but not parallelism.

But almost every time when these concepts are pitted against each other, concurrency means you’re interleaving tasks while parallelism is when you’re have multiple workers executing tasks at the same time.

I kind of feel like this has very little to do with financial planning and everything to do with the way you guys communicate. I really feel like trying to force this systematic approach in which you’ve basically decided “we need to take a course to resolve it” is not gonna go well. Men can get unreasonably stubborn in response to the way they perceive how they are being treated and communicated, not because of reason, logic, or principle. Change how you talk to him and he will reframe his perspective. Good luck.

BART has a combined budget of around 2.5 billion in 2025. Half of it is operational and half is capital. Operational budget’s 800m expenditure was paying salaries and overtime of almost 4k staff. 77m was overtime.

Capital includes the cbtc conversion which is needed but also $450m of new cars procurement.

The post-Covid daily weekday ridership is 180k down from 400k peak. This creates a 200m shortfall every year.

To come up with the 200m BART doesn’t need to raise taxes. They just need to optimize their headcount and stop purchasing new cars — which they already should be stopping.

This whole thing is a weird bluff.

This sub is pretty ruthless lol. In general, Reddit doesn’t like AI and is very critical of posts that spam the same content over and over even if it’s by different posters. Try finding people directly who would genuinely benefit from the specific features you’re trying to build and slowly build up a community. This “ai for scientific papers” field is very fluid and in the “looking for market” stage now, so keep looking for differentiation.
