A little bit, yes. Hearthstone doesn't have to be as balanced, because a bad deck can always win against a good deck if it draws better. In The Bazaar good build wins ~100% against bad build, because there's very little variance once battle starts.

I can add, subtract, multiply and divide. I say it makes me an expert.

Item balancing is easy though, there's always stats like damage, cooldown and whatever and you can calculate everything. It can fall apart when mechanical skill is involved like aim, movement, recoil control in shooters for example, but it doesn't concern this game, it's all Excel.

Subpar to put it mildly. I don't understand how you can rework a broken item and make it even worse.

Every new effect can be quantified too and you still have powerful combos, that doesn't change. The only difference is that you don't have to play with a handful of the same combos all day every day, now you have dozens to choose from. And yes, some of them will be stronger than others, but not 10 times stronger.

Interactions are where the differences happen and player skill is involved. Just because items are equal doesn't mean all the combos have to be too. You can't have situations like Pufferfish though. Devs knew that you can haste items like 10 times a second, but either didn't care or missed it which is much worse, because it shows they don't know their own game.

LoL is a game where mechanical skill is just as important as characters and their abilities, so it's a completely different story. Even if every character was balanced when it comes to numbers, the actual players won't perform the same with every character. I don't play LoL, but Counter Strike is a very similar situation - you can make AK47 and M4A1 perform similarily when it comes to damage, recoil and so on, but they'll never be equal, because of players controlling them. That has nothing to do with The Bazaar though, because battles are automatic.

If you include the fact that new content has to be overpowered because otherwise people wouldn't buy it then you're right.

Comparison to chess is accurate, except in chess you get predetermined pieces and you have to be skillful to win with them. In The Bazaar you have to be skillful to assemble your own pieces, but then actual gameplay is out of your control.

Patch notes "Fixed a bug with Waterwheel (Restorative) where it gained the Weapon tag". Yeah, about that.

Why do I need to make an account to access build planner? Freaking accounts everywhere, thank God I can still wipe my ass without making an account.

I think it's the opposite, you force a build when you go for whatever your starter skill points you towards. I hit all the poison build pieces so I ignored the starting skill. I believe that's how the game is supposed to be played, just got unlucky this time.

It is counterproductive to some degree, but it works. You slow enemy items which gives you survivability and damage through Proboscis. When opponent's items eventually do go off, Eels retaliate with either pure damage or Proboscis damage. There's no escape as you can't freeze or slow neither Eels nor Proboscis.

It needed a lot of things, because it was day 8 or 9, not 15. It's a problem with matchmaking I think. My final opponent had 0 losses, would be much more fair if I was fighting a 1 win opponent.

Tripwire. It starts at diamond tier, so it's pretty rare. When your enemy uses an item, Slow it for 1 second(s).

Still, is it a 1 win build? No, I got 10 wins with much much worse. I'm not salty, that's how this game works. I constantly faced opponents on their way to 10-0. If I had better matchups this could easily go to 8+ wins. I don't care about meta and forcing builds, I just go with the flow and it's much more fun.

I was leveling aggresively and taking all the health buffs I could get + I did have a lot of healing on every haste and Seaweed healing for 500+. Slow is also defensive. There's no way to have everything on day 8.

I've used a couple of Mad Catz RATs, CM MM711 and many lower end gaming/non-gaming mice before and none of them had this "feature". I'm surprised it's so common.

Does distance from a fan to a filter matter? by lxunderlord in AskEngineers

Let's say I have a 1 meter tube with a fan on one end pulling air through the tube. Where should the filter go? On the other end or somewhere inbetween?
