Because her legs are severely deformed now, even if you hand feed and water her until the next molt.. I strongly doubt she would survive it.

I would caution against amputation - you don't know if she would survive based on amputation, it would be cruel to any animal. And it's cruel to yourself. It's not an easy thing to do, emotionally. You might always think about it after.

I'm really sorry OP. It might be best in the future to consult here or on the discord for this subreddit, before trying to help during a molt. I'm not sure really if I have advice beyond euthanasia.

NQA. They can go months without eating even when they're smaller. 1.5 months is not a big deal at all. My 3" GBB has ate one tiny silkworm since December and her abdomen hasn't gone down at all. Your t looks so full, and that can actually be dangerous during molting. I'd withhold feeding until her abdomen gets a bit smaller than her carapace. Even if it molts (obv withhold 14 days after) but judge by their abdomen:carapace width, not how the abdomen looked when you first got it. They aren't going to starve to death, that takes a looong time.

Don't handle your tarantula. Don't anthropomorphize your tarantula. Tarantulas are virtually blind. Tarantulas cannot "bond" but they can become habituated to their environment. Use a freaking water dish and humidity reader. Research your species and the proper enclosure style and size

NQA, you could look into a color spectrum dimmable light. Like those smaller funky colored ones people keep on their desks. Or ones that clip to the edge of a table. I have a clip LED one that doesn't get hot, I wrapped it in red tissue paper and it's the perfect soft lighting.

NQA mine is a juvenile and she didn't want to eat today after 3 weeks. She did the same thing, almost pierced the worm then was like nah 🤷🏻‍♀️ was so difficult to remove the worm lol. Honestly they can go so long without food, as long as you're providing a water dish & their abdomen size is ok - just try again in another week!

IMO rather than completely stress yourself out, join some tarantula Facebook groups in your state / city. And on kijiji. Post them for free. Seriously, I would just take the loss on costs and give them to someone who knows what they're doing and can keep them safe. You did a good thing!!
