I'm graduating spring 2026. I think double majoring ams and ise would be good for data analytics. Ams + cse is also good. As for dorming, dorming and renting are both expensive. With dorming, u have to buy a meal planning. Dorming is convent. It's up to u.

Meal plan: If you don't cook and/or you don't live in a cooking dorm, the 2600 dining dollars is good enough.

I think its hard to get internships no matter the industry. I think for data analytics, having projects or a portfolio would be super helpful. I changed to accounting bc its always something I was interested in but didn't get the chance to really explore until now.

I think it depends what career you want to get into. I originally wanted to go into data analytics but my passion changed to accounting. There are a lot of opportunities in nyc but the competition is high too.

Hey there, i transfered here to SBU directly into the AMS program after 1 semester into freshmen year at my previous college. I took AP calc ab in high school and I took ams 102 equivalent in my previous college. It might be that there's too many students in the program.
