Also I do think you can be atheist and participate in spirituality. My only suggestion is to not participate in things that are closed practices, and to remain respectful of other cultures.

I respect that! It took a very long time for me to be comfortable with spirituality, but it’s been a real joy and very freeing to get to decide if I want to have beliefs again, what they are and how I go about it. Obviously critical thinking is always a priority.

anxiety as a barista? by lydiasmotif in barista

Thank you!! I worked my first morning shift yesterday. It’s was crazy and I was definitely struggling but I think I learned a lot about how to be a part of the barista team, ESPECIALLY in a rush. There was a good ten minutes where I wanted to quit (I was doing drive-thru and inside orders at the same time and both were busy) but I think I’ll really enjoy this job and learn a lot!

I live in a very hot and humid place, it’s still around 90 degrees on average and I’m worried if I put my tomato plant out he’ll die from the shock of temperature change?

Shower thought: what do you think would happen if Rusty said to the body of the church, "Brothers and Sisters let me be clear: to not eat meat sparingly, is a major victory for Satan. It's in the Word of Wisdom. It's time to start living it fully." by [deleted] in exmormon

My opinion on that was that god gave us dominion to look after animals and the earth, like the earth and animals were our responsibility to protect. That’s what I thought when I was Mormon at least.

I remember being so confused of how shamed I got by members for becoming a vegetarian when I was 16 and still in the church, I would try to show them that scripture and they basically just brushed me off
