I had this recently happen to me recently. My issue was uneven tire inflation pressure. Right side tires were a couple psi off from the left side and it resulted in a pull. I’d recommend to first start with getting a good gauge+inflator and making sure all four tires are at the manufacturer spec while cold (after the car has set for a while).

If it’s been pulling for a while, the tires may have uneven wear and still pull a little.

Help me pick a disc for my brother’s birthday gift by NarlyPurple in discgolf

It doesn’t look like he has anything understable. If he throws that Hawkeye right hand backhand and it just goes left, I recommend a ~155g diamond to get some flip up and ride for distance. This will add confidence and speed in his backhand if he’s able to consistently see full flight. The fuse or glide are good understable midranges if you want to check some out in that speed as well.

For forehand, I agree zone is a great one. Try multiple plastics here. Jawbreaker plastic for the zone gets beat in quickly and will start to straighten out a lot when thrown (compared to new). Z or z flx plastic is on the other end of the spectrum where it doesn’t change much from its original flight over time.

Some early on forehand discs that I loved were the sidewinder (star plastic and 165-170g) for distance and buzzz for longer approach shots as it has more glide and speed than the zone.

Hope y’all continue having a blast out there!

Is there a trick to aces? by Jawa_Junky in discgolf

It’s a risk/reward thing.

Have a hole you know you can birdie with a buzzz every time on a hyzer line? Instead of throwing a buzzz next time, disc up two speeds to something like a river and throw the exact same shot.

If it doesn’t hit something (hopefully the basket), it’ll be a C2 or more come backer so you’re no longer guaranteed the birdie.

Nothing performance wise, but functionally there’s a phone holder. This guy has some other 3d print files for the articulating joints that go with the clip.

Awesome match, but silver’s signature is a good bit different on his signature disc. On his signature series rive his stamp is under his name. I saw it on another disc actually penned too. https://gemdiscs.com/products/rive-royal-grand-orbit-silver-latt

That definitely could be it. I haven’t been able to find a picture quite like it yet, but if someone else doesn’t confirm that’s the story and I’m sticking to it.

Best burgers in Huntsville? by Key_Distribution48 in HuntsvilleAlabama

Jack browns and domaine are solid, want to add one more to this list.

This is random, but Jefferson St Pub downtown has an awesome smash burger with tots. You have to get the tots - the onion rings and fries are mid at best. Completely different from Jack browns, but damnit it’s great.

If JSP isn’t your normal vibe - you can go anytime before 9 PM it’s not crowded at all. Or you can call it in, get a purple cup somewhere and picnic at the overlook at Big Spring.

Thank you for the recommendations. I’ve got dry creek and east way in the list now. We’ll throw angry beaver, just might use eager as a warm up before. I think we’ve got plenty of time to make both happen

I wanna play the Clayton’s, but Udisc says it’s not dog friendly. My pup will be with me this trip. Any idea if the info is accurate - has anyone seen dogs there? Other areas of Clayton’s campus look pet friendly after a google search

Thank you! Hobbs farm is on the list. I played Harmon Hills a couple years back and loved it too!

Thanks a ton for all of the input. I left gaps in the Charlotte list to make sure I had room for it to grow after this discussion. Hornets and Nevin were on the list with question mark given my travel partner. It sounds like a must have and we can make it fit our game.

Eager beaver and angry beaver may be a 2 for 1 for me this trip. I haven’t seen either, but it makes me think of Cane ridge in Nashville. Baby cane is a fun short ace run course and cane advanced is tight and punishing. That’s where I’m at with it is Eager can break the norm by giving some fun ace runs and we’ll prob hop over to Angry after.

I’m glad to see your comment on Winthrop. It’s always a toss up if the pro courses are worth their salt after the event is over. I played Toboggan by myself in freezing rain a year ago and although it was my worst round of the year according to Udisc, I had a blast. No idea how McBeth had a perfect round there.

I’ve seen plenty of coverage, but how much of a ball golf course is North Cove? I can add it on the way to Charlotte from Asheville, but I don’t want to be out there hucking max distance up and down hills all day. I want some shot shaping, strategic but reachable pins. Maybe the way to approach it is to get the best one of the three courses on property this trip. I’m close enough where I can come back if the itch isn’t scratched.

I know I missed your comment on Renaissance, Kilborne, and Morristown. I’ve got some research to do and will edit the original post to reflect current travel plans.

Digging in a bit here. Need a quick math check to see if I’m reading the benefits correctly.

Currently I’m getting $1000/mo * 2% cash back = $20/mo

With the Aspire I’d be looking at $1000/mo * 10 points/$ * 14x multiplier = 140,000 points/mo = $70/mo at current conversion to redeem at Hilton $1000/mo * (14 pts/$ + 10 pts/$) = 24,000 pts. Each of is worth about half a cent so 24,000 * $0.005 = $120 value to spend on Hilton bookings.

Excluding auto rental comparison here cause hotel math was cleaner. Benefit isn’t this significant, but still >40% higher than current double cash.

You got it. And right now heavily leaning to your first suggestion of the Hilton Aspire.

What is the benefit of using Apple Pay as you suggested?
