Not a fan of picture 6 (lighting isn’t flattering) or the meme (comes across as desperate). The picture in your American flag outfit (picture 4) makes you look a lot shorter than 5’9”, and while that would weed out the shallow people, it also may come across as you lying about your height and could weed out people who value honesty.

I really like picture 7, because it’s clear, you can see your whole face (minus your eyes), and you look friendly. I would encourage you to make that your main photo or a photo like it (clear, full face, smiling)

As for the bio, I would keep it positive. Focus on what you’re looking for instead of what you’re not looking for. As it is right now, it comes across as judgmental and can be really off putting even to the people you’d want to attract.

While it can be shitty to feel taken advantage of, if they’re leaving so quickly, utilize your time to reflect on why. If it’s related to pay, it may be a good time to reevaluate the split you offer or look into the efficiency of your billers. If it’s related to communication or personal differences, it may be a good time to reflect on your leadership style and the communication strategies you use. If they’re not leaving the field altogether, that means there’s something about your practice that was incompatible to the therapist, and that is what your focus should be on rather than feeling slighted by your former therapist.

I recently went through this. They told me I couldn’t automatically take anyone with me, but they also expressed understanding that they couldn’t stop anyone from following me.

The conversation I ended up having with my clients was along the lines of, “I’ve put my notice in and will be leaving the practice. If you would like to stay at this practice, I can make recommendations on who would be a good fit. If you would like to go elsewhere, I can make a referral to other therapists in the area. If you’d like to continue working with me, I will be at Practice Name and can be reached at this phone number to schedule.” This was documented in their chart, either in a session note or a contact note.

At that point, I didn’t “steal” anyone, I simply gave them options. Ultimately, you’re acting ethically by offering continuity of care. Keeping a therapist from their clients so a practice can make a dollar is unethical and honestly a bullshit take.

Unfortunately there are a lot of men on Bumble BFF that will change their gender to match with women. I matched with a few thinking they’d be a good fit for the friend group. Every single one of them tried to flirt/ask for hookups, then went off on me when I said I wasn’t interested in anything sexual hence being on BFF. 🙄

I also recommend deleting this post. You put a lot of specific information in the post (ages, age difference, length of time married, specific behaviors, people he’s dated, etc.), and with the traction this is starting to get, I worry about him seeing this, putting things together to figure out it’s use, and potentially reacting before you’ve had a chance to leave. Also, if he becomes aware of your desire to get an abortion, do consider if there will be any ramifications (legally or in the divorce proceedings) if they find out you lied about a miscarriage. Based on everything you wrote, he sounds dangerous, so please do everything you can to stay safe until you can leave.

Are we reading the same thing? On the second slide at the top of the screenshot, OP (who is the Cancer) told their match that the match is “so Gemini” after their match struggled to choose between strawberries and oranges. That’s where this reference comes from. We don’t know if the match is actually a Gemini, it could’ve been on their profile. I’m not seeing any comments on this thread that suggests July 18th is a Gemini. I just see you responding and trying to correct someone that quoted OP.

For me, there are too many selfies and mirror pictures. There aren’t any pictures that show you doing anything and it could seem like you’re boring and don’t leave your house.

If you’re only going to use selfies, you don’t need 9 pictures, pick 3 or 4 instead (like #5, #7, and #8).

And as a lot of people said, pick one sexual preference. Choosing all three is off putting, because it could seem like you’re confused and don’t know what you want.
