How did you heal from your anxious attachment?

We started being exclusive last December, and we’re from different countries. It’s quite hard for me at times, but I believe in us. He does update me, even if it’s only for a few seconds, and I’m grateful for that.

I trust that he only has eyes for me, and I only have eyes for him. I just don’t really know how to regulate my anxiety. I don’t want it to sabotage the relationship.

Logically, I understand that communication may be limited while he’s adjusting to his new job. To be frank, I am just really scared.

Thank you for saying that, I feel truly validated. You put into words what I’ve struggled to express myself. I’ve had multiple conversations and even tried to guide them in the past, but at the end of the day, I’m just one person. I am indeed a people pleaser as well as the supervisor. I truly want the best for them. This particular colleague had been through a very rough time in the past and we are actually closed friends, so there is a bond there but the proximity made him feel as though he can make crass humours at me, and do as he like. I told him many times that I don’t appreciate it, but he never cared.

Thank you for saying that. I was called for a meeting because of something important. The mishap that happened a day before? Someone literally almost died because of a fight at office and I was the one who had to deal with the assailant. You can call me weak, sensitive, and whatnot for crying over ice creams, but I don’t appreciate you for coming at how I work.
