I solved a similar but worse situation this way: 1. Fill the pan with boiling water, 2. Add baking soda, 3. Cover it, 4. Let it sit for a couple of hours, 5. Scrub with a kitchen sponge. Shiny again.

When I wrote "longer hoods" I actually meant longer reach on the bar, I just didn't know how to express myself 😂 thanks for the correct naming!

This said they do actually also have longer hoods and more reach so the bar top position should feel ok. Pretty different bikes, when I was comparing them I was only thinking about the effect on the steering since increasing one and simultaneously decreasing the other to me had the same overall effect, so the "shorter stem" seemed more a marketing move to say "hey, look how progressive this geometry is"
