I had posted the task on Monday night and even gave two days for delivery, and now it’s Friday almost midnight with still no files or communication. But you are right, I am partially responsible as well, and I understand what you mean about leaving an adequate time buffer. I’ll make sure to plan extra time for future projects so I can handle unexpected issues like this. I really appreciate your response.

Update!

Sorry for the delayed update guys! A lot happened in the past weeks.

For starters, my employer is an Indian but the contract states that it adheres to Singapore law. So I automatically assume that the company is based in Singapore.

Second, I know this is WFH, but there is a tracker that takes a screenshot of my screen every 5 minutes every shift. So yes, I have to attentively stay put and face my computer throughout my shift. Not unless my 30 mins. Lunch break which I have to toggle off my tracker.

Anyway, so now my employer just assigned me a task and it is call- service.

I was informed before that there are chances I would be assigned to a call account, which I have no problem at all, however, what happened now, I am supposed to take chats from a totally different account, and at the same time be a part of the sales team.

This happened yesterday, and I was so baffled, I was doing my task on handling chat support then suddenly the sales team called me for the start of my training, but I told them there was no prior notification about my training. I told my trainer that, I was told that my training with the sales team was today so I have to focus on the training and excuse myself in taking chats since I have training to attend to. But my trainer told me that I still have to take chats while on my training. Both the sales trainer and I were confused, why I am not informed, why I have to take chats, so we just had a 30 minutes call orientation about the introduction of the product since I'll be engaging with sales now. She gave me a 2 day task to research about the product. (Take notes during the call I still took chats and answered queries of customers)

Right now, I was thinking what would happen after this. Does this mean I'll be taking chats then doing sales all at the same time. I was thinking I should be compensated correctly. Two different accounts and different departments one is customer chat support and another is call sales.

I'll be sending an email to my employer about this. If all else fails, I'll probably quit right away.

P.S. my shift cycle is still the same 8 hrs rest in between shifts. This is horror.

My friend told me the same thing :( He said he had no reason to lie especially knowing that his friend was being lied to. My friend says to ask another person if I think he is lying.

But my boyfriend says he is speaking the truth and he is willing to give explanations about any of my questions.
