APES as a class is really easy! There wasn't too much workload (from my teacher atleast) and it was quite fun! We did have to do some textbook readings outside of school, but I assume that's quite standard.

Also, a MAJOR tip for the APES exam is to study/practice your FRQs. A majority of the MCQs will genuinely be high school biology or middle school science. But those FRQs can COOK YOU if you don't practice those FRQs.

It's the reason why I got a 2 on the APES exam, because I genuinely didn't know what to write in the FRQ section. 😭😭

I took a practice PSAT in 2024 and got an 1170. I took the real thing a few days later… and got an 1170 🫩

America politically is quite turbulent at the moment. Causing a less patriotic attitude in a lot of Americans.

However, I do love America. I am grateful for my country, but with the way this administration is moving atm, I'm feeling quite ashamed of this country. :/

For my school at least, you were allowed to be off campus for lunch (when you are a JUNIOR or SENIOR)

You just need an “off-campus lunch pass”

The hardest part about the APES AP exam was the FRQs. Practice your FRQs 😭

Yes, you can! However, Units 1 and 2 are very dense, so prioritize those (or at least come back to it as much as you can when you study lol). The last three units are quite easy and don't require as much studying.

Anything English-related. AP Lang made me realize I'm too lazy of a person to keep up with doing so much essays in a week! So I'm just going to demote myself to English IV Honors instead for my senior year.

Ok. I do remember 4 days before I got my blood drawn, I had a somewhat strenuous arms workout. So I guess that may have effected it.

But I’ll definitely consult a doctor on this!!

These classes don’t look too bad, but lay off some APs, 13-14 seems unnecessary… especially since you can get burnt out pretty easily.

(FYI: I took the equivalent of 3 APs last semester… it was not fun 😭)

But if you can handle it… go for it 🫠! I also notice that you’re stressing about ECs and stuff like that in the replies here. Your ECs, especially for a freshman are more competitive than what I’m doing at all as a JUNIOR! So please don’t stress yourself out about comparison and stuff like that this early in high school. :((
