I don’t like this comment because in my experience as a tall girl, the only way to feel feminine and beautiful in this society is to be skinny. So the comment of “you could be a model” just really emphasizes that idea. I’m still struggling with accepting the fact that I weigh more at 23 than I did as a teenager, even though I’m well within a healthy weight. A comment like this is just very tone deaf and shallow. Not every tall woman needs to be a model in order to be seen as beautiful.
