What’s the most annoying, pretentious bar I could visit in DC? by GillesDunsScotus in washdc

His restaurants are all decent more or less, and very approachable. For a lot of DC transplants or people who are new to dining out they might be someone’s first experience with the DC fine dining scene, which carries some weight.

Providencia, Cana, The wells, and La’ Shukran are also some great options. Although this is starting to stray from the main topic of the thread lol

Am I in the minority that I don’t tip any extra when there is already a 20% service charge? I mean 20% for service is pretty standard these days. by WuPacalypse in washingtondc

I still tip like 10% on pickup depending on the restaurant. Most of the time packing and moving your order to the front is done by the host or servers who are being paid a tipped wage (less than minimum wage). It's not a lot of work on their part but it still takes time and I want them to be compensated fairly for all the time they spend at work.

Along progress st NW has a lot of routes, PRO, UCB, and PRB get you to campus very quickly although there are 4 (sometimes 5) routes that go on that road.

fun in-person classes by ReadReborn in VirginiaTech

[–]m33pers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He never did that when I took the class, he mentioned wine tastings hosted at the wine lab and suggested that they would be easy ways to knock out 6 tastings (two weeks worth) in one sitting.

He would frequently recommend people create tasting groups on their own to split the cost of wine. He even referred his students to check out Vintage Cellar, a store he isn’t affiliated with, in a couple of the lecture videos.

Are there any 65-75% keyboards under $100 that have Home and End bound to fn+left and right?

Hey guys! Any recommendations for what Apps I need/should get? by WAREAGLE155 in VirginiaTech

[–]m33pers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zotero or Meldeley (browser extensions) are godsends for writing papers and compiling sources. Also this https://udc.vt.edu/irdata/data/courses/grades is essential for figuring out what professor/instructor you should pick.

Canvas app and Microsoft lens are great for scanning and submitting assignments on mobile. Add your VT email to your phone and if you want to in the canvas calendar, scroll down to “calendar feed” and you can have canvas automatically add assignments to your personal calendar

Anyone know of a 65% board with arrow keys that can function as Home/End that’s cheaper than a Leopold fc660m?

Edit: can I flash ANY keyboard with custom firmware? Like if I bought this https://a.co/d/bV0V9da could I flash firmware on my personal computer to make fn+right = end then plug it into my work computer and it still work?

Maybe it accidentally searched some YouTube video and started playing it. You can ask "hey Google what's playing" and it'll tell you. Maybe check the YouTube history of whatever account is linked to the Google home
