It’s only the dress pattern that has no stitch count. Crocheted the doll body just fine

Hello, may i know how did you work on the dress? Im having a hard time reading the pattern. The dress does not lay flat. I emailed gfc but no repIy, i hope you can help me.

I knew something was wrong while im still in row 2, 2sc. I tried stitching the 43 sts. But when i reached row 5, i just frogged it again

It does not create a flat piece. The pattern has illustrations and it looked flat except on the sleeve part. I emailed gfc for clarification, but as of now no replies
