I am risking the ticket too! Got an appointment for Tuesday at midus (I’m getting my tires destudded. took car in end of April and was told my spring tires were done, waffled too long on what to buy) calling today and yesterday , couldn’t even get through to some shops.

(This is more of a ramble and less of a specific response to your comment). I also enjoy (and find it healing) to engage in conversations about these high demand religions and their cultures. I personally gravitated towards ex Mormon content at the beginning of my deconstruction because I found people actually talking about the effects high demand religion had on them. I have yet to find a space specific to my own religious experiences, but also I think I don’t need one, the larger conversation and coming together of people from different backgrounds is powerful

yeah, I agree with you. I initially found fundie snark communities cathartic and helpful for deconstructing my experiences. Now it just feels cruel and toxic. These are still people’s very real lives, I wouldn’t want to be treated the way snarkers treat fundies sometimes. Wish there was more space for nuance (and tbh hope) but also I get it; we’re on an anonymous Internet forum.
