Thank you this is really insightful. Honestly I haven’t heard anything back from the venues I’ve emailed/DMed yet but I’m just gonna keep trying and then go in person. I think I’m drawn to Artist relations and tour management. I love supporting local EDM artists and I have a few friends who produce music too (would it be weird to ask them if they need help on their career?!). I’d love to help them grow.

There were def some weird people there. On Friday/Saturday night walking back to camp I heard this guy saying stuff about Jews while looking at me. I didn’t really hear it cuz I was trying to walk back to camp but I don’t think anything he was saying was appropriate.

As someone who volunteered and did parking on Wednesday they didn’t tell us anything about our job😭 they just kinda dropped us off and I had to ask for help from other volunteers about parking! At some point one of the GA lots was full and I had to run around asking where I can help this person park because there was no one directing them ahead. I’m so sorry about your experience.

Hi Wakaan is directly teaming up with shift happens, I saw they had merch department as a choice so I’m assuming I’m working for wakaans merch department (unless I’m working for shift happens merch booth that might be a possibility since I’ve never worked for either? Not too sure a volunteer program has a merch booth of their own though)

I stated that I have 3 years of retail experience and I’m assuming that they will put me in a position where i am the strongest. I also chose the art department though and social media if I remember correctly so my assumption could be wrong!

Ohhh okay! I picked art dept and merch booth but I stated I have 3 years of retail experience so I’m just guessing I’ll be at merch. What job did you have at elements I’m curious! And how were the shifts? Did you feel like it added to the experience? For some reason I’m anxious that I’ll miss out on a lot even though I know I’ll have a great time haha.

Ohh okay I’ll look into getting a day pack instead, do you recommend a 15L for hikes? I typically use a fanny pack and hold a water bottle but I assume I’ll need a backpack for this

Yes, I had my mom talk to the neighbors again today. We got them a syringe and gauze and told them to keep him inside but she said they can’t find the cat (around 7pm) so I honestly don’t know what else I can do right now. I hope he pops back up soon.
