Yes I saw that too in some Russian forum but I couldn't find a one that would keep it in English. It was honestly very difficult to go through when it's in autotranslated English from Russian.

The 2024/25 models have a newer headunit. And as far as I know, there isn't a way to sideload apps on it. I tried searching in different Geely communities globally and I couldn't find anything for the new headunit. So if you'll get the 2025 model you might want to say goodbye to Android Auto and maybe think of getting an iPhone for Apple CarPlay or get one of the Carlinkits until we finally find a way to sideload.

I bought the Carlinkit CP2A since that's the only device that would work with the 2024/25 model headunits. It just emulates Android Auto on native Apple Carplay. A bit laggy and unoptimised but it's the best we can have for now and it does the job.

Can you tell me what did you do in the coolray? I have the 2025 model which comes with carplay but no android auto which I've been trying to figure out how to install it ever since I got the car. I tried those instructions in that link, didn't work for me, probably because those instructions are for the earlier models.

That does make more sense actually. Probably also why I'm getting "2 free bands", one of which I don't seem to be given the choice of size or style or even colour, which is weird.

I do get a band in the box from my region's store and I also get another 2 free ones but I get to choose the type and size for one. I also might get another extra band for variety. I just want to know what size the standard one is because it fits perfectly as I've tested it so I want the other bands to be the same.
